A recipe for disaster

Ingredients:

Solskjaer. Won a title in some backwater in Northern Europe. Relegated in his only previous job in elite football.

McKenna. Failed at Spurs. Failing at United.

Carrick. His coaching career coincides with our longest run without a trophy in 36 years.

Phelan. Statistically Hull's worst manager ever. The clown who signed Usain Bolt in the convicts league.

Mawson. Who? Relegated twice with Burnley.

Pert. Helped Ole relegate Cardiff. Got sacked by a team in the MLS (lol).

Clegg. Only experience is twice being relegated with Sunderland.

Meredith. Relegated St Pauli (??? - presumably his son's u11's Saturday league side). No other experience - seriously.

Hawkins. Relegated (that word again, now the first word recommendation when I type 'r') WBA, failed at Sheffield United and apparently had a stint with England - enough said.

Dempsey. R[autofill] with Cardiff

Binningsley. You can guess by now what he did with Sunderland...

What a bunch of LOSERS! Not a single winner amongst them. It's actually testament to the players that they haven't openly revolted yet.

When Ole goes I hope there's a complete purge of the coaching staff.

No wonder we're cr*p. We're more likely to be relegated than win the league with this load of bums.

Or are you fully Olephobic now and there's no turning back?

What gives it away?

I do agree we need better coaches. In fact I've said on here Phelan wasn't the right choice.

I though it would have been obvious from the ingredients that this dish is served raw...

More or less this mate.

He's never going to turn it around in my opinion. He hasn't got it in him.

Top 4 and a CL final wouldn't cut it for me.

It's hard to trust any sort of run of form as we seem to mirror it with periods of, sometimes, awfulness.

I've said before, we expect to win, on average, only 40-60% of league games in a season.

Take the best case scenario of 60%, that's 4 Lolskjaer articles to every 6 no shows.

So we need to win, lose or drawing in style. That's the key bit. Consistency in this league is hard. So if the manager can't get that yet the style has to be better.

But we all know that.

City operating between 60-85% win ratio.

85% two seasons on the bounce. Ouch.

RR has put the OP right.

Also Ole did have a problem at Cardiff with the owner picking the team
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not really.

The point was that we’re being coached by incompetents and nothing here dissuades me of that notion,
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You can make a reasonable point, which just about everyone would agree with, that we lack quality in our coaching and we lack sporting expertise to measure and control that quality. It doesn't follow that every single person in our backroom staff, down to some guy who reports to the head of data, is underqualified and reeks of failure. But if you want to prove that hypothesis, you need to do more than google a few names from some list of backroom staff and cherry-pick details that appear to portray them in a negative light. It's a bit pointless creating a fiction to justify exaggerating the depth of the rot at the club, when everyone basically agrees that there's a serious lack of coaching quality and lack of sporting expertise in the company decision making.

Doesn't read like something he wants to put forward for Doctoral recognition, more a comedy piece?

Made me laugh anyway.

That bit particularly.

Yeah, maybe I took it too much at face value. But there are a few people on this site (and this thread) who seriously believe that.
