No one is bigger than the club, if we want him we will pay if not bye, no issues for me. He has been great but if you think he's irreplaceable, there is no such thing. Chalobah and Malang Sarr are both available now and we are being linked with other defenders.

Meeting wage demands is okay to a point but Rudiger is ageing, well granted but he is ageing and meeting his demands could stifle the development of other future prospects. It's a gamble too of course but that's football.

Yep if you look at the players that have left Chelsea, he is some way down the list.

100% agree on not being bigger than the club but if the reported 200k a week fee is true I believe that's what Chilwell is on and I value rudiger as much as Chilwell.

It's just a matter of negotiation,if he is not happy with what is offered, Adios Amigo.

I don't think any Chelsea fan underestimates his contribution.

The board are very conscious about being trapped by setting an uncomfortable precedent with players. I think up to now that have managed these situations very well. The only thing I didn't agree with was offering Willian 2 years, but luckily he was stupid enough to turn it down and feck off to Arsenal

Current best cb in the league on form. Ridiculous to not give him what he wants
