Another weekend of bizarre refereeing in Scotland. Highlight for me is a Aberdeen player being sent off for being assaulted by a Dundee United fan( although I use that term loosely).
I understand by the letter of the law the player was booked because he went back to the crowd after he was pushed but common sense should have prevailed and a quiet word from the ref would have been enough. Charlie Mulgrew had already walked him away and calmed the situation down. I don't like talking Ill of a fan of my team but his action where reprehensible and should never be allowed to go to a game again. Life bans are needed to get rid of this type. Only a couple of weeks ago the topic was brought up of allowing drink back into football. On this evidence not going to happen anytime soon.

A few years ago when United were in Europe, didn't the same fud run onto the pitch in two different games?
Hopefully the punishment is more permanent with this particular brand of fuddery.
Still have to love the result though. I'm not entirely sure of Aberdeen's tactics of constantly crossing the ball to Edwards and Mulgrew, two of the best headerers in the league. If that's their plan any time they play us then I welcome it.
Was good to see Appéré be so influential too. There's a talent there but doesn't often get to show it.

There's a wee bit extra to the Ojo story by the way.
After the match he punched one of the United fans who were at hospitality after the fan said "you were unlucky today" while smiling at him.

We never got the European ref when they were covering for the Scottish counterparts as our game was snowed off.
Wish we could get different officials more often. Although not like that famous ref in the match with Holland and I cannae mind who the opposition were but the red card was getting brandished about as though he was a bidder in an auction.
