On Saturday Wolves will travel to East Anglia to take on a Norwich side buoyed by the arrival of new Head Coach, Dean Smith.
After having no wins in 10 games, the Canaries have won their last two games with 2-1 victories over Brentford and Southampton. Currently, they sit in 19th place in the league.
In a weekend of unexpected results, Wolves took all 3 points from high flying West Ham thanks to a well taken goal by Raul Jimenez.
Wolves currently occupy 6th place in the league table and have joined West Ham in putting pressure on ‘The Big Six’, two of whom are currently below them in the table.
It’s almost 5 years since Norwich enjoyed their last victory over Wolves with a 3-1 win at Carrow Road in January 2017. The previous two Premier League encounters resulted in a win for Wolves on each occasion.
Despite Norwich’s recent success it’s difficult to imagine anything but a Wolves victory in this game.
Gem's prediction 0-2

Ok boston, what are you actually saying?

Read it again, I just stated IMO that we needed three players, not panic buy or spend a fortune.
We have done well this season and so has Bruno.
Nothing about owners, selling the club or other accusations.
I have supported this club from the early 50's and I want them to do well. I also remember the good and bad times and am entitled to give my opinion as I see it, as is everyone else.
I rarely go to games for various reason, distance age etc. but I closely follow the team on TV, radio, internet and on print.
So all in all those are my thoughts and that is what I am saying.

I don't think there is anything in that. that anyone would disagree with.
Nobody thinks the squad doesn't need bolstering. The only question left is how to do it. I'm sure it would be very easy to fill some gaps. But I think we are looking with a more long term view.
If we bring players in they have to be more than a stop gap, and be the sort of quality to challenge in the first team. easier said than done.
I have no problem with Wolves spending money, big money if need be. But it has to add value, and spending big makes the decision even more critical. get it wrong and it can do more harm than good.

Kieffer Moore, short term option we tried to sign this summer.

Who knows Cinci? he isn't here so it makes no difference, does it?

I dunno Amiga, it feels to me like you are trying to put forward a case that we display some kind of genius in the transfer market when we really really don't.
We are no different to anyone else for the most part, we have spunked money on poor moves, managed to get in some good younger prospects/up and comers at times and at others apparently let moves collapse over minor issues. Talk is we stuttered on Sanches thinking he wouldn't be fit for months but then he was fit to play within weeks.

I think all you have just highlighted is how difficult it is to bring players in. I don't think there is a football club in the world that won't make mistakes. But it is important to keep them down to a minimum, and learn from those mistakes.
There are many ways to mitigate risk, buy younger players, Loan first, promote from the youth. But it all a balancing act. Those that do it the best will reap the rewards. Those that do it poorly can pay a heavy price.
I am watching an Everton speaking about his team at this very moment, He is talking relegation (a bit over the top for me) But they have spent a $h1t load, and have very little to show for it.

I think we have a decent policy of picking up younger talent on the cusp of becoming stars, or threatening to become stars but needing that push for the most part.
Ait-Nouri signing was a coup, Trincao another that has the potential, Neto was highly touted before a set back at Lazio(?), Hoever another that made sense although it hasn't worked out as yet.
Ironically we don't seem to do a good job with our own youngsters we have had from a younger age, MGW and Otasowie a couple that spring to mind. Talk of Sanderson not being happy and of course Goncalves wanting out though maybe that was just a simple case of homesickness or maybe we just didn't do enough. Kilman finally getting his chance has been great though.
Enough has already been said about Fabio Silva, a signing a club of our standing at the current time has no business making. Maybe he will turn into a star but we cannot be throwing 35 million at maybes with zero track record.

You win some, you lose some. That is football. The trick is to win more than you lose, and Wolves so far have come out pretty well, at least as far as transfers are concerned.

Right? Umm, Jonny, Neto, Boly, Mosquera, Podence. OUT
What point don't you get?

Bit of a stretch calling Mosquera a first teamer after having played a whopping 10 mins of football
