We will have chelsea in league the weekend before so its defo a lot to juggle. I can see him maybe making some changes for the 1st leg because of that, hoping he can then go full strength at anfield and win tie in 2nd leg.

konate was a beast, bailed us out loads 2nd half.

koumetio i liked his confidence, but was too early for him vs 2 of the best strikers around in europe and maddison tielemenas feeding em. Gomez rusty too and also liked that he tried the positive forward pass into feet but again well off it and put us in trouble often first half.

taki was brilliant, finishing touch let him down too often but effort wise cant fault, thats the most ive seen him up for it sinces hes been with us. got stuck in the mosti felt.

I thought Gomez defended on his own. The right back and Koumetio are not ready. Gomez did well when he had good defenders alongside him.

yh the rb struggled, shame cause he looked good in the first games of this cup.

An important game beforehand, plus the AFCON depleting our strength means I'd still rather see the league prioritised.

I thought Gomez defended on his own. The right back and Koumetio are not ready. Gomez did well when he had good defenders alongside him.

Gomez was still the weak link when Konate came on

We would have won by 3 or 4 and rested player shadow we started stronger then subbed off.

Still Koumetio should.improvement as a young player since last season and bradley had a good showing going forward. As babes in the woods i have to say they were up against it but gave some positive things.

Konate ate vardy for breakfast there.

There's not much to prioritise though in terms of league matches. We will obviously go full strength vs Chelsea (confirmed today we will have the Africans for that) then we don't play again in the league until 15th Jan.

Unless you are saying to throw a semi final for a home game against Brentford potentially 5 days later which is mental.
