As is always the case...

the academy debutants Harvey Vale, Jude Soonsup-Bell and Xavier Simons(playing in his least favoured role) didn't look out of place or overawed by the occasion against PL opposition Brentford who were at near enough full strength, especially considering they only had two training sessions and two of the chaps just cameback from illness. Delightful.
This will go some way to convincing Vale that his future lies at Chelsea (if there isn't an automatic triggered clause upon making his first-team debut).

I wont even talk about certain senior players with years of experience that are/were flailing!

Welcome return of Lukaku, Hudson-Odoi and Christensen to training ahead of Aston Villa.
Two should get minutes off the bench, provided match goes ahead.
