Thought he was excellent when he came on for the last half hour yesterday, particularly given he's just coming from two months out.
Very much an unsung hero of the squad. Lacks goals in his game of course but in my opinion he's integral in driving the team forward when he plays and has been badly missed over the last few weeks.

i think Kova has been a bigger miss than Kante very rarely has a bad game and even then still 7/10. hope he stays fit Kante looks like he has glass body parts now.

I meant to say this earlier, but I noticed in the 10 minutes before Kante went off that we had 80% possession, and 10 minutes after he went off they announced Aston Villa had 75% possession. So I agree - Kovacic did play well, and drove us forward on occasion. And he is just coming back from injury and covid, so obviously he is not yet at his best. But I also think that there is nobody as good as Kante.
