Can’t overstate how important that win was against Burnley . Of the 24 points available against the existing bottom four we’ve played for 15 of them and won 11. Getting 7 of the remaining 9 would be nice, 9/9 would be just great.
We've reached half way… and we probably need 17-18 points from here. That’s 4 wins, 5/6 draws and 9/10 losses. With Struijk and Paddy back, and the likes of Firpo and James fully bedded in, it’s looking a little rosier. Small squad, lots of injuries hammered us so far, think we'll be ok. 8 points off relegation zone and 4 points away from 11th place (which is where I’d like to see us)
Midway through season

Next game against West ham (the league game) us s biggie.
We come away from that with something and it would be a great result.
Don't care what anyone says, Moyes is a quality manager in my opinion one of the best in the league, he is doing a great job at West ham and we know this is going to be one hell of a difficult game

i dont think man utd would be struggling for an identity if they had given moyes half the time they gave ole.

I don't think Man U are manageable by anyone right now. It's the attitude of entitlement from fans, players and owners. I agree about Moyes I rate him as quality - they did him a favour by getting rid.

Only thing that makes me nervous going ahead is injuries - 1-2–3 are fine but anymore and in key areas we tend to struggle.

Repeat our previous performance against West Ham and I would expect to earn a draw at least. Don't think West Ham are playing as well as they were then.
3 points from the next 2 games will be enough for us though.
A14 right to aim for a minimum of 17/18 points but don't be surprised if 12 more will be enough.

Back line has been wiped out
Zouma / Ogbonna / Cresswell
Only a few clubs can get away with injured in this league.

I think anyone would have struggled after fergie.
Fergie left at the right time in many respects and the next manager was coming into a team on the slide.
He also clearly learnt from his experience at man u, Real S and probably to a lesser extent Sunderland (although, that club was a train wreck noone could have saved).
In many ways west ham to the guy is like Leeds is for Bielsa, its a perfect fit for him and he has clearly taken them to the next level and their fans love him for it.

Obviously West Ham will sign 3 defenders in the next week to cover for these injuries though…

West Ham are a lovely footballing side. What would you give to have Soucek, Bowen, Benrahma, Antonio or Rice in our team? We were second best against them at Elland Road, but they have injuries, and Benrahma is out in Africa. There were a lot of positives against Burnley, and two matches against the Hammers are excellent preparation for the rest of the season, but if we come out injury-free, that will be enough for me.

I do find the rewrite on Moyes quite funny. He has done a wonderful job at West Ham, similar to the job that he did at Everton, but for the years between those he was dross, with failures abundant.
Not a bad manager, but certainly not one of the best in the league.
