Just coming too late for the Arsenal game. Great news to hear the AXA training complex has been re-opened after an acute, but thankfully short-lived, Covid related closure. For the FA cup match youth team coach Krawietz will be the manager for the FA cup tie.
Understood there might be some hankering for handkerchiefs or tissues in some quarters, but let it be understood it was a public health matter.
Should the game have gone ahead on Thursday, even with the youth team the training ground would have to have been used, which raises the prospect of Arsenal players contracting covid.
Couldn’t let that happen to Arsenal who, let’s face it, have suffered a bit at our hands.
Not just the drubbings by four or five goals, but things like :
Henchoz possible handball in the Owen final
Babel getting a penalty in the Champions League
Suarez not being given leave to join Arsenal after his release clause met.
Infecting the Arsenal squad with covid before they play Spurs would have been a step too far.
Bravo public health England, and LFC for taking this considered viewpoint.
Be good to see the youth in action on Sunday.

Hopefully we are able to put out a mix of fringe senior players and youngsters for the Shrewsbury game.

arsenal fans were really upset but i dunno why they want to get drubbed by cheslea in the final or worse end up in the conference league.
worse they could have got a serious covid outbreak of their won as a result.
The FA have said any 14 players will do for FA cup which is kind of sad to see how unrated the cup is now by its own authorities who just want it played and don't care who goes through.
In this case here is no option in theroy but to play alisson as all keepers were infected and will be isolating.
As the game is at anfield i am expecting more youths than would be the case going away to arsenal as well.
However its impossible to predict what team it will be.
Origi is out however. rumours abound he has been withdrawn from playing until sold however but it makes little sense unless a deal is already arranged and he's clearly not been sold this week.

Yeah, we have no chance of beating Chelsea in a domestic cup final...
Best to guarantee European football as quick as possible, takes some pressure off if we fall behind in the race for 4th.

Oh, I guess when Chelsea were champions in 2017 they weren't a much better side than Arsenal who finished 5th

No need for Arsenal to have a new arrishole manufactured for them in a Russian oil rig.
