Ndombele

Off you f*ck.

Not only slow, lazy and ineffectual on the pitch, but slow and lazy when asked to leave the pitch, no wonder he was booed.

I always try to give our players time and the benefit of the doubt and although we’ve seen glimpses of his talent it’s been few and far between.

And on top of all that, his attitude sucks.

I just don't think the guy likes it at Spurs. Plenty of reasons why that would be the case. Considering everything that has happened since he joined the club, it's no surprise.

It's also no surprise the club would want rid of his £200k a week contract, mind you

It's been one issue after another for him and he just seems mentally exhausted with the whole experience. Yesterday felt like a point of no return for him.

I`m not sure what his problem is, he has shown moments of brilliance and moments of effort, in amongst many moments of lacklustre laziness.

He has been here long enough now and has not produced enough for the outlay, and a succession of managers have all failed to fancy him.

We should cut our losses but apparently he still has 3.5 years left on 200K a week contract. I would love to know which idiot scouted him and decided to hand him a 6 year contract on £10m a year.

I’m not saying their situation is the same, but there have been plenty of talented players who’ve sat on the bench under Conte for a variety of different reasons.

I’m saying I’d be happy to wait it out until we get a sufficient bid that is fitting of his value, otherwise I think we’re in a position now to be able to afford that asset to be sitting on the bench
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I dunno. Inter got Eriksen for peanuts, Ndombele is our record signing - I’m not sure we can afford to just have him sat on the bench. I’m pretty sure Levy won’t see the merit in that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Similarly I don’t think Levy would merit him leaving for nothing. Selling him for under £30m would be madness.

I also wouldn’t say Eriksen came for peanuts - it was around 20m which is what Lazaro was bought for in the same window and they both sat out the season.

I mainly agree with you Ace - as you said whatever Conte wants I'm happy with.

I think the one thing that would actually make us on a par with some of the clubs we are trying to challenge for is the fact that we would have an expensive player on the books not doing much

To be a pedant on the financials - while his value may be depreciating as an asset he will soon stop depreciating.... In fact when you consider player amortisation etc I don't know what the financial offset really would be. I do think taking too heavy a financial hit will impact the business more and we'd be unlikely to replace him for anyone who isn't a free otherwise.
