Matchday and a fixture with a lot of history behind it. Once a premier league match 2 proud old clubs are struggling along in league one. Many memories from that Frank Worthington goal and an Alan Brazil hatrick in the same game, the Titanic playoff ties round about the millennium, Fredi bobic's hatrick and the last fixture at the unibol between the clubs when Ipswich beat a young Bolton team 5-0 which was followed by the efl giving notice for expulsion from the league. Happier times earlier this season as a free scoring Bolton inspired by dapo afolayan won 5-2 and went 3rd in the league. Fast forward to today. Bolton 4 straight defeats, just 1 goal scored by a player who isn't at the club anymore and an out of form afolayan who hasn't scored a league goal since October and is only hanging on to his place because of the constant injuries in the squad. Now 18th just 3 points from the drop zone things are now grim. Ipswich have recovered really well from a bad early start and are now 10th. Team news. Kachunga added to the long term injured list of sheehan, tutte, isgrove. Amaechi is also out today but only short term. Good news Jones is fit and likely to start. 2 new recruits midfielder Aaron Morley signed from Rochdale and Keeper James Trafford on loan from Manchester City are available to play today.

Sad to see brockbank go as one of our own. Hung around when the club was in administration for a new contract. Not got the energy or pace to get up and down the flank that a modern day full back needs. My one disappointment he was never given a chance at centre back but then he doesn't quite have the physique needed. Also every season he picks up an injury than puts him out of action for a few weeks. Fresh start and a new career in the USA will be good for him. Good luck Harry and thanks for everything you have done for the club.

I wish Harry all the best if his trip to the USA comes to fruition.
Politic and now Brockbank. it seems that the youth team that we once had is being dismantled piece by piece. I'm sorry to see both of them leave.

There's the defence still pending.
IE was eyeing up Tyrese Owen from Haringey Borough as a partner and cover for Santos.
There's always those last minute things, will we find IE has forgotten something from the list after the window closes.
We did remind IE to pick up a couple of specialist coaches didn't we, I hope they are not forgotten.

Another one in the door. Is everyone happy or are we waiting to see how the new players perform?
I'm on the fence at the moment, especially with our latest signing. I see he's been handed the number 9 shirt so I hope that he lives up to the expectations that go with it.

Looking good IE seems to be happy. Be better if we can add Dempsey.
The proof of the pudding will be the points on the board and table position at the end of the season.
