Novak Djerkovic has finally been booted out of Australia. It could happen to football players too, who don't get vaccinated. And spout on about it in public. Of course, not many footballers need to go to Australia.
But other countries could (or some already have) impose similar vaccination requirements for entry. Say France (why not, all part of Brexit), Germany, Spain, Italy,.....even Denmark?
Djerkovic has been very vocal about his anti-Vax feelings. And this encourages those others of similar bent who would go to games and put us all at risk.
What say you all? Are the Aussies right or not?
Aussies Boot Djerkovic. Do You Agree?

Yeah, I just don't see the French voting a Nazzii in
It'll be between Macron and Valérie Pécresse.

Anyway, as I said, let's see how it plays out.
Once the COVID fear melts away, which I think should be around February on the continent I can see this helping him a lot.
Hope I am wrong but I think the left and centre parties have become complacent in France.

For anyone interested the judgement to revoke Djokovic's visa has been released today.
https://www.judgments.fedcourt.gov.au/judgments/Judgments/fca/full/2022/2022fcafc0003/_nocache
The court found:
"Because of this, I consider that Mr DJOKOVIC’s presence in Australia may pose a health risk to the Australian community, in that his presence in Australia may foster anti-vaccination sentiment leading to (a) other unvaccinated persons refusing to become vaccinated, (b) other unvaccinated persons being reinforced in their existing view not to become vaccinated, and/or (c) a reduction in the uptake of booster vaccines."
"It was plainly open to the Minister to infer that Mr Djokovic had for over a year chosen not to be vaccinated since vaccines became available."
The Judgement, and Djokovic's legal teams submissions, could well cause problems for him elsewhere.

It was the best they could do at the time because they royally fecked up the more sensible ways.
From my understanding Australia has locked out a few far right nutters(celebrity speakers) on fairly similar grounds but this Djokovic ruling is really stretching the principal.
While I have little sympathy for Djoko and don't think he should have ever got in, this is probably an abuse of power for political gain/to save face

I think in the next few months to years we will see that how badly this pandemic had been dealt with in many countries. So much data has been ignored from governments and mainstream media.

Lots of problems with that video
It ignores the measures taken to mitigate deaths although to be fair, the UK gov has often been woeful in that regard but still there has been lockdowns, WFH, the vaccination program and continued measures from sections of the public regardless of rules.
In other words, any figures will almost certainly be lower had the above not been in place. You can take a country like NZ or Australia to see the blatant difference at hospitals or even in the raw data. Countries which successfully held the virus at bay for the most part until the vaccines had been offered to everyone over 16.
But to illustrate the seriousness of this virus, now some Australian states have relaxed measures and the virus is circulating the hospitalisations are high enough to mean non essential surgeries and category 2-3 treatments are being postponed.
This unfortunately will lead to deaths, that is one thing I can agree with him on. However it'll take better pandemic response not less to sort this, unless the plan is to leave Covid victims without treatment?
His amazing revelation about "total deaths from Covid alone" isn't helpful when a huge portion or the population are qualified as having underlying health conditions. Over 15 million people in the UK are classed as having "underlying health conditions" FFS. To use this is an argument that Covid isn't serious is disgusting.
That youtuber is doing nothing but profiting from a very willing market of either terrified people who want to pretend there's no pandemic or people who simply don't care because they believe the virus poses them no harm. No doubt those cancer patients who've missed out on a diagnoses due to an overburdened health service will be counted as meaningless people with underlying health conditions by those stating that covid isn't a problem...

This
I’ve watched a few videos from him over the past few months and he’s very much addicted to pleasing the huge crowd of people who are begging to be told fairy stories. One of his biggest ‘crimes’ over the past few months was telling a lie that ivermectin was being used as the main treatment in Japan and that vaccines had been stopped there. I’m still waiting on him to correct that but he never will. On the rare videos where he leans towards the government narrative his comment sections are full of ‘this guy is controlled opposition and is a shill’ etc. Magically after that he goes back to the more wacky theories.
All anyone has to do to work out the true cost of Covid is to look at the excess deaths. Which are hugely more than non Covid years. And then ask people like him just how much worse things would be without lockdowns and measures to protect people.

Yeah it's ridiculous and frankly dangerous. I do wonder how many of the accounts commenting on Youtube are bots though, surely people aren't that bad?
That said some absolute twaaaats have started graffitiing anti vax stuff around where I live, so they definitely are among us

Absolutely. In reality there are even plenty of professional sports men and women who although fitter than almost anyone else in the country would fall under the "underlying health conditions" tag due to things like asthma, IBD etc.
It's not at all likely they would die from covid but his desperately misleading point would still discount them from being "legitimate death" statistics to viewers of that video.
I don't know if people are terrified or just stupid but pointing out realities never works sadly. I've seen far more articulate and better informed posters than myself entirely dismantle morons on here who spout misinformation and a day later the same misinformed poster will just repeat it somewhere else...
