Agreed, the only issue is where does it leave Lucas when Son is fit? He's been very important for Conte and I doubt he'd want to drop him.

Kind of bef to differ. Winks still had a couple moments of weakness yday which is what I think caused his downfall in being subbed.

That said he put in a good shift.

Whilst Son is out 3 5 2 is the way to go.

But the formation depends on the opposition I guess.

Whilst Son is back its the way to go as well. He's looked poor in the 343.

343 you need more creative players who can receive with their back to goal. Neither son or Lucas can do this.

Yeah I tend to agree. I think due to previous recruitment we are kind of overloaded with attacking wingers (Son, Berg, Lucas, Gil) that fit more naturally into a 343 so in terms of squad management it’s easier. Our 352 options are a bit more limited; a creative ball playing midfielder this window would be ideal but they don’t grow on trees.

Winks has had his two best games in a 352 though.

Gil can compete with Sessegnon for Reguilons deputy in a 352. Against teams that sit back I can see Gil making impact from the bench

when you play 3(5) at the back like Conte does why do you need 'wingers' as well as the high full backs. Teams just force us narrow and can defend the box with our crap crossing.
