Yeah everyone losing their minds over players that don’t play. I get it’s mainly because we haven’t signed anyone, but most of the players who left would barely play. Niles is only one I’d keep as cover. Chambers maybe decent to have around, but that’s mainly because I’d rather him be back up instead of Cedric, but one of them had to go. Hopefully Cedric is off in the summer.

Having said that I am worried about lack of forward and a CM, but then I was worried about that before we shipped out all those players. I wouldn’t want us to panic splash out a player who isn’t quite good enough either like we’ve done loads before. So if the right player isn’t available I understand why we’d want to wait until the summer. But I wonder could we not have got a loan to cover, or maybe instead of chasing a starting striker, could we look for a cheaper back up? Considering we’ll need one anyway as lacazette and nketiah will leave

we have weakened the squad and will probably not get top 4 now. or even top 5. so the chances of us getting the "right player" also decrease.

Not really. We signed the right players last summer with no European football. I fancy us to get at least some sort of European football next year so with the deadwood mostly all got rid of now we can have another decent summer this year

The problem is that if we wait fir the "right player" this time, don't get top 4 and Newcastle stay up then we will be blown away in the transfer market in the summer. Newcastle will inflate the market for sure.
