Derby County 3 - 1 Hull City - Feck the EFL

DERBY COUNTY v HULL CITY.............………........................Championship # 30

7.45PM Pride Park Stadium Tuesday 8th Feb 2022

FECK the EFL

After the exhilaration of the previous Sunday at the Cockpit, it was business as usual at Huddersfield as The Rams succumbed after an early and just could not hold out, losing 2-0.

It was disappointing but we go again. Shenanigans outside of the field of play continue to perplex us as we struggle to decide who we hate this week Gibson (always)? Mel? Administrators? Wycombe? EFL (always)? Stearman (never)?

But move on we must because there is a game to attend to. Hull City have improved of late and with our increasing absentees and number of games with little rotation (tired out) it will be a tough game. As will all the games from now until the fait is accomplied.

Turns out that the news of Ang's boy Ebosele bound for the Adriatic was not substantiated, so maybe a little light deserved relief is in order. Also on Sky, Rob Dorsett speaking to an Mike Ashley rep who said that Ashley was still interested - not dropping all interest as was reported.

The 'saga' drags on - I still think the EFL are very nervous because have seriously fncked up.

On to the game; no Stearman but I have been assured that Lee Buchanan will provide ample cove with a seamless move into that position. So, thats good.

And I still miss Begbie - or do I need to move on? Heb?

:
Allsop; Byrne, Davies, Buchanan, Forsyth; Bird, Bielik, Knight; Ebosele, Plange, Lawrence.

Roos (gk), Bardell, Ebiowi, Stretton, Cashin, Thomspon, Sibley

We had absolutely no chance, then we had no chance, then we had almost no chance.

Right now, we have a chance.

A slim chance, Vidal... let's not get carried away just yet...

My mates just called from Briz to say that they were chanting "Derby Derby" at the end ... even the s4itheads want us to stay up.

Because of our superior goal difference just a win and draw in the games left better than Reading will keep us up. That sounds a lot easier than it was few weeks ago. Our only risk is one of those two clubs having a run of form. I would say we are the favourites to stay up out of the four contenders.

Assuming they lose their game in hand of course …

We will one way or the other be cheering for teams that would normally turn our stomachs when it come to playing the teams in this fight with us.

A real positive surely is that we still have to play some of the teams in and around us but that appears to be our Achilles heel at times but this feels different and the fans will deffo be our 12th man for the rest of the campaign.

No I am assuming we accumulate 4 more points than Reading and and 2 points more than Peterborough until the end of the season. They can win their games in hand so long as they lose other games. It's all about the final day total.

As long as we hit 4th bottom in injury time of the last game of the season and stay there, I will be a very happy camper

Christ, talk about stress testing my blood pressure meds.

Of course that would be the minimum, I would like us to be challenging for a play off spot at that time
