Conte on Eriksen

"Eriksen is part of Tottenham's story. To come back here would be a good opportunity for him, for me and the club.

"But now he's signed for Brentford. Only six months, and see we'll see what happens".

"I'm the first person to be happy to see him again on the pitch because we spent a really good time at Inter Milan together. We won the league, we spent two important seasons together. I wish him all the best for the future."

"And you don't know what will happen. It would be good for me to have him again, to worth together again."

What's this? Could he be back in the Summer?

It certainly goes against the theory that Conte didn't rate Eriksen at Inter. Anyone got Eriksen's stats from his time there?

We seem to be creating a habit and lust for old players/managers to return to us.

I wouldn't be against it, but I think we can do better.

There’s been news about Bale coming back too. If Conte wanted him, why not go for him this winter? Seems crazy to me. Unless this Brentford stint was almost ‘arranged’ to prove he can do it before signing for us in the summer. It wouldn’t certainly mean a reduction in insurance if he could prove it was possible for 6 months.

Eriksen and Bale on free transfer in the summer, that'd be a good start

Prefer to see how well he plays for Brentford before even thinking about signing him back.

What’s Les Ferdinand doing these days? We need competition for Kane….

Probably to see how he goes at Brentford. I am sure he is only using them as a stepping stone to bigger things.

He'd probably still take a better freekick than Kane.
