With ENIC not going anywhere, Conte is simply not the answer. There has not been any sustained improvement from when he took over to where we are now. Yes there was a honeymoon period but that is well and truly gone.
Conte is a manager who needs to be backed…as we saw in January it won’t happen and i doubt enough will be done in the summer even if he does stay. We’ve tried big names like Mourinho & Conte. Now our only hope is another project manager like Poch, with Potter being the stand out. We’ve fallen too far for Ten Hag IMO now.
On a side note - wtf is the point of our amazing facilities if our academy continues to do eff all? Considering how bad we are, there should be youngsters banging on the door and getting minutes. Absolutely nothing - Scarlet nowhere near ready. Look at Chelsea’s and City’s academies - absolutely phenomenal. Even Arsenal bringing through good players. Our only successes in about 20 years are Kane and then Townsend & Walker-Peters.

Saying how good winks, Sanchez & Davies were improving.
It’s a bump and they’ll be plenty more over the next 12 months.
We all knew the quality of this squad was very low. Players like Davies should’ve been sold years ago when they was second choice now they are first choice it is no wonder we are lacking consistency.
I keep saying it was are in stage one of the conte era the same as we was under Poch when he was getting rid of players like coupe & adebayor and we was struggling for consistency on the pitch.

Yes, he will assess the team for the first 6 months. The next 6 months, he won’t be able to change it.
