I can't be bothered reading Evatt's excuses this morning so I'll just have to look forward to Saturday's game which I'm sure will be different. A more settled team will replace the one that was used last night.

If we are in a winning position I'm sure that the key players can be replaced with others from the bench.

We haven't got a bunch of geriatrics that need wrapping up in cotton wool. On the whole, we have a young fit and athletic team that can be managed with substitutes and the odd change. Will Evatt do that? I doubt it.

I like the boat but with a fourteen-day holiday, it's not a great idea.

Since Brittany Ferries have commissioned two new boats it's now a two-day sailing and I still have a 900 Kl. drive when I get off the ferry.

I will be on the ferry in June but I will probably take the Dover to Calise route. The price of the Spanish sailing is now £1050 for the two of us and the car. It used to be around £750. Even with an overnight stay in a hotel and the extra fuel, I will still save £370.

I suppose they have to find the money to pay for the two new boats somehow.

I see Evatt still thinks that a playoff place is not out of the question. I tend to agree with him but he will need to be very careful with his team selection.

I see that the 02 Arena in London has suffered damage. and also that hundreds of flights and all ferries have been cancelled.

It is a good job that we flew yesterday, otherwise, we would have been delayed. As it happens we took off on time and landed on time. We had some turbulence on taking off but that only lasted for around 15 minutes.

When I was flying from Hawaii, Approximately 6.5 hours to Los Angeles. then onto Heathrow and the shuttle to manchester. I was tired but not really jet-lagged. I had stamina then.

Our Hotel was The Waikiki Hotel situated on the beach front. We had to get up at 03:00 hours in the morning to be able to get our connection from LA to Heathrow. We had a terrace overlooking the beach and there was a full moon. There must have been around 50 surfers catching the waves at that time in the morning. A sight I will never forget.
