Pep thinks we can do better

This is going to be City's year.

Pep really does think we can do better. He gave Rodri a first rate talking to at the final whistle! Whatever he thinks it seems to be working - the team spirit looks very strong just now.

Typical Pep. He said the opposite when you had an average draw at Southampton.

A Southampton side that has beaten Spurs away as well as a draw against an average team near Manchester.
Southampton actually played very well against City and were worth the draw , albeit I only got in the ground as they scored thanks to a broken turnstile

Well you would certainly know about failure. How many consecutive seasons is it that you have predicted a Liverpool title win and only got one right

Its a combination of a lot of things.

Its funny how we have had injuries and various Covid cases this season but you wouldnt notice because of the squad and how interchangeable our players are.

We have 20 senior players, Minus Mendy that makes it 19.The rest is made up of the youngsters being brought through.In comparison:
Liverpool 22 (Excluded Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliot as there are players from their youth setup even though there are senior players),
Chelsea 24 Senior players before the youth
Man Utd 23 Senior players (excluded Elanga)

You only need to look at Mahrez to just see how Pep has this squad pulling in the right direction. Has been patient in the past but when he has played has been so good Jesus cant get a look in. Same with Raheem meaning Jack will struggle to get back in.

Gundagon is the same and KDB is also upping the standard. Good healthy competition that just ups the standard at the club. Even Zach has played so well when he has been called on.

The form of most players is peaking nicely. Pep couldn't be happier. My biggest worry was the stop-start season Foden has had but he is coming back to form. Not worried about Grealish, he will come good next season.

We still without a natural left back by the way.

Brilliant isn't it? I've noticed how accurate he is, City so weak defensively they would probably win a few games if only they weren't conceding 3 goals a game.

The guy knows so little about football he could write all he knows on the back of a postage stamp. If he writes it, the polar opposite will be the truth.
