What a great result for Spurs tonight, beating the financially doped City 3-2 on their own patch to do the double over them. Apparently Spurs have kept up their record of not actually losing in the Prem outside of London this season.
Probably just about the best performance of the season, as they limited City to so few clear cut chances for all their possession, and with a bit of luck Spurs could have won by even more.
That said Spurs still gifted City both their goals, a horror 1st goal from a Lloris mistake, and WTF was Romero doing waving his hand about in the box? As well as he played could have cost Spurs all three points, and has to thank Harry for bailing him out.
Kane was absolutely world class today, and a 10/10 would not be going over the top. My only beef is he missed that fairly easy chance, which would have given him a hat-trick, and I would have pocketed £201 for my 31 stake at 200/1 on him scoring three goals. But hey ho it`s only money.
Kulu, Dier and Romero all played well today, other than the silly gifting of the penalty by Romero. Sessignon is out of his depth in the Prem, and needs loaning out again. All the other players put in a decent shift. So no complains from me.
Not getting too carried away, because from time to time you get these sort of results, as I said to Morespurs pre match, the longer the week had gone on, I quite fancied Spurs to grab something from today. A win was a bit of a bonus, I will admit. Although I did take the 10/1 on offer for a couple of quid, so had a little bonus when Harry headed in the winner.
I suppose it will keep all the moaning minnies quiet for a week or two until the next defeat.
Meanwhile Don is sitting in a restaurant with his wife, eating his overcooked expensive steak, and missing out on Spurs best performance of the season.
Oh Don you never learn.

“Moaning Minnie’s”
Didn’t you predict that Spurs would finish bottom half and struggle to win another game?

Proabbly, and I was not alone, but I also said I would always still follow Spurs, and go to games, come what may. We have had supporters on here the past couple of weeks, who want to tear up their season tickets, make it toxic inside and outside the ground, refuse to watch Spurs play.
Big difference, my reaction would have been one of disappointment from losing two home games in four days, but I soon got over that, and was back on board supporting the club.

Unlucky with your £1 bet Sandy, Kane should have had a hattrick.

I know, never mind, I did back Spurs for a couple of quid at 10/1, and small bets on Kane to score at anytime, and two or more goals at 20/1, so won a few quid on those. The £200 quid for the hat-trick would have been the icing on the cake.
To be honest backing Kane every match is still worthwhile as the prices are still excellent most matches. And usually even money that he scores just once. OK he hasn`t scored lots this season, but still has quite a few in various competitions.
I still expect him to hit 20 Prem goals this season.

Not sure if he'll get to 20...he might but he's leaving it late. One thing is for sure is he's looked far better under Conte. This is the Kane we have been waiting to see.

He still has lots of games where he is liable to hit a few, Burnley twice, Brighton twice, Brentford, Norwich etc oh and Arsenal, he loves a goal or two against them.

15 games left for Kane to get another 13 goals to hit 20 Prem for the season. Should be well within his grasp.

Kane of a few seasons ago would have done it but it still remains to be seen if he can get back to that sort of level again. He got the 2 goals today but generally he spent more time behind Sonny feeding him through balls. Playing there isn't going to get him as many goals as he was scoring 5 years ago.

Best of all from today's result was that you helped Liverpool.
That must be the most gratifying thing for you.
