As someone pointed out on another forum, we are missing Samba. As well as Horvath performed, he doesn’t distribute the ball as well and doesn’t push up as well.
We need to find a solution. Without looking past Bristol City, Sheffield United is a six-point game. That would leave us eight points behind them and a huge 11 points if we lose to Bristol today.
Currently sat in 10th, the best we can hope for is 8th, and that would require Luton losing to Derby! Lose and we could drop to 13th by Sunday night.
I’ve never been to Bristol! Strangely sounds like a song, but as we’re at Home it doesn’t really matter.
Over the last ten league games we are:
*Form Table: 7th v 14th
*GF 13 GA 9 v GF 18 v GA 24
*1.7 PPG v 1.3 PPG
That’s a lot of goals!
Over the last six:
*Forest are W4 D1 L1 @ Home - GF 11 GA 5
*Bristol City are W0 D2 L4 Away - GF 9 GA 18
Who knew they were so poor away? They last won away against Peterborough on the 2/10.
The last time we played them, we ran out 2-1 winners. Taylor with the late drama show. Our starting XI pretty much the same squad as how we line up currently.
Samba
Spence Worrall Figs McKenna Lowe
Yates Garner
Johnson Grabban Z.Nagel
Horvath for Samba.
Cook for Figs.
Davis for Grabban.
Prediction:
Bristol City aren’t a huge side, they like to try and play football, but they ship goals.
We’re solid defensively, strong at home and with a couple of tweaks should have just enough.
I’m going for another 2-1 win!

Another clean sheet too - keeper is doing all that’s been asked of him - Samba might be a little concerned

MoM?
For me it was Zinckernagal. He was everywhere. Such a classy player on his day...

Agree about Zincernagel. I wish SC would start him in our away games more. He’s a player who could turn draws into wins. Due respect but I don’t think Yates or Colback have that.
I expect him to start at Bramhall lane with Colback at LWB.

Really? And drop Lowe?

Lowe can’t play against his parent club, he’s on loan from the blunts.

Or Laryea to come in?
Annoying, I forgot about that.

Laryea not even on the bench yesterday so I think he is not ready for first team starts. One for the future, or out on loan.

That’s seems odd, especially when you think he’s a full international - how can he not be ready?
Part of he wonders if he was brought in on emergency as we thought we were gonna be losing Spence and Lowe in January - the fact they both stayed kinda nullifies him
That is until the summer - if we fail to get promoted and they both leave, then Laryea will be called upon
If we somehow manage promotion and both Spence and Lowe are signed, then I suspect he’ll continue to warm the bench
