Conflcted!

I have spent the whole day since the latest defeat thinking about our situation. I am old enough to have lived through all the ups and downs from the heady heights of the Revie years, the Ridsdale debacle and the false dawns and the appalling days of Cellino, culminating in the appointment of the Forrest Green manager Hockaday.
So sadly, a little time for reflection on our current situation is required. Along with many supporters, we were elated when we finally emerged from the nightmare that was League one and the Championship after all those years. I am still perplexed as to whether Bielsa really believes he can survive with a small squad in the Premiership or that he has been told by the owners that there is no money to strengthen the squad and is too loyal to dissent in public!
In any event, here we are in freefall and what do we do. It is indisputable that Bielsa has (a) stuck with his system and (b) declared that he prefers a small squad. It is fair to say that he has been unlucky with injuries throughout the season but that then sheds a spotlight on his squad philosophy! In addition, it is indisputable that players who have served us well and loyally are not Premiership quality and so need to be replaced.
And it pains me to highlight the managerial problem we now have. From the first day under Marcelo when we were a revelation against Stoke City, we are forever indebted to him for what he has done for this club. The pain he has lifted from our struggles as a great and honourable institution are beyond belief.
So what now? I am probably no different to most supporters in being undecided as to whether to change managers now with so few games to go. All I know is, that at my age, I can’t bear returning to my seat at Elland Road next season to watch Championship football again. And probably won’t but realise that younger supporters will have more optimism. Sorry for my pessimism!!
