If he has gone, it’s the correct move now. Yes it’s sad, but something had to give.
Bielsa could have changed tactics, set us up for a few 0-0 bore-draws, get some much needed survival points on the board until Kalvin etc returned.
He chose not to. That’s ok, but that’s his choice. With choices come consequences and he had to go.
It’s the right decision. I will always love him for what he’s done for my club.

90% of this team has played with the system for almost 4 years. With the small squad and no investment in January and lengthy injury to key players was going to have an effect. Bielsa and fans wouldn’t expect a set up for bore draws - last 4 years has proven that
Despite our disastrous spell in February bielsa never been in bottom 3 of the PL but still gets sacked. Weird.

I should think conceding 20 goals in five games is reason enough
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not to mention the ridiculous kneeling down, sitting on a Pouffe in the technical area...(no not that sort) & not speaking a word of English..still
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Homophobic and following a club that's owner supports genocide. What a charmer.

Coming from a fan of Chelsea, a club existing on the dirty money of a corrupt oligarch, if kneeling down and not speaking English is the biggest criticism you can level at Marcelo Bielsa, that's pitiful.

Admittedly Bielsa's tactics are partly to blame for recent disastrous performances, but I'd equally I'd lay the blame at the performance levels of our players and their implementation of the Bielsa system. Literally none of our players has played anything like their best, the closest being Meslier (whose main failing has been his distribution). No-one criticised Bielsa's attacking tactics when we beat West Ham away or drew with Villa at theirs – both with depleted squads. Most of us realistically expected Liverpool to beat us, the worst part of that match (and yesterday's against Spurs) was that late in the match when it was obvious there was no chance of a result, heads went down and we allowed a team that was essentially sitting back, come in and score a hatful more. I would suggest the players in this team taking a hard look at themselves performance-wise. Since our Championship-winning side was disbanded (not without good reason) there isn't the same glue, the same commitment to the cause, but surely their pride, the fans and loyalty to Bielsa (not to mention a massive pay packet) should motivate them to leave everything out their on the field.
Whether we stay up or go down, I'm going to miss the feeling of love and pride that I had for our players for the first three seasons of Bielsa. The players earned that but I'm afraid they haven't so far this season.

First team in prem history to concede 20 goals in a single calender month. If that's not time to change, then what the hell is? Bielsa said pre Spurs that a defensive approach is not an option, that's not right at all. We need to be picking up points, not 4 nil thumpings. We wouldn't even beat Norwich atm.

A lot of focus on AK and AR but for me this has the 49's investment group lurking in the shadows all over it and evenmoreso if their countryman Marsch takes over.
For what it is worth my head tells me it would be the correct decision but there are ways to go about things and they are falling well short of what should be expected and from a class and dignity point of view not fit to lace Bielsa's boots.

Absolutely disgusted by this decision and the way it has been handled by the owners of our club.
God help us if this gamble on an unknown manager fails
