It's official

Announcement regarding new appointment tomorrow.

No surprises there given all the rumours.

Been in denial about this all night.

Now it’s official it’s hit me hard. Absolutely gutted for the fans m, the players and mainly himself for how this has ended.

Thank you for everything

I think we will go down, whether he went now or at the end of the season is largely irrelevant so why do it now.

The die was cast when we failed to strengthen in the transfer window at a time when we desperately needed reinforcements. That set us for the run of poor results we've had since West Ham.

Cellino used to do this, wait until transfer windows close and then sack a manager, bringing in a new manager at a time when they cannot recruit.

It sets the new manager up to fail.

I wouldn't take this poison chalice of a job, the side are depleted due to injuries, probably lacking in confidence due to recent results, probably angry because of the way Bielsa was manhandled out of the club and a little anxious facing relegation.

Of course we will go down.

Anyone who celebrates Marcelo's departure from the club, really has no love for our club.

Thank-you Marcelo.

Reaction of the players says it all, everyone who knows and works with him is gutted.

I think in getting rid we have given up our best chance of staying up, thata not to said we won't, but getting rid of bielsa makes it harder.

I don't celebrate his departure. He has achieved a legendary status at the club, given what he has done during his tenure. Would he have kept us up? No-one will know, but it wasn't looking good. Perhaps it is time for a parting of the ways. We will see whether it was the right decision in the coming weeks.
We need to get behind whomever comes in and use the fresh impetus to get the points we need to survive the drop.

Hallelujah?

Explain the rationale behind the use of this word.

Yes bye bye to some of the most beautiful football the Elland Road faithful have ever seen.

Totally bemusing in my book.

Watching the last few games has been with total dread and embarrassment. That's not how it should be. No room for sentiment in professional sport, I've no doubt we would have got relegated with Bielsa, at least we now have a chance.

Just same as you predicted we wouldn’t get promoted, or stay up last season, etc etc

You’re usually wrong. So…..

This season has just become a disaster. Gutted isn't the word for it. Should have waited for the summer. It was Radrizzani who gambled but Bielsa who has paid. Terrible decision at this time, even though there have been valid criticisms of Bielsa's methods. Shocking and disgraceful end to the story.

Whoever comes in really does have their work cut out in every sense.

I agree with sentiment part but you must acknowledge Bielsa's legacy which has turned this sleeping giant around and given us back credability as Legendary club.

Yes we have leaked goals in recent games but previously he has been an enigmatic genius to get these players to where they are.

Will this mean the end of man to man marking?
