Russian bear or paper tigers?

This logistics guy explains why this is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Russia

If what he’s saying is correct then Russia are in for a world of hurt and humiliation if the Ukrainians keep holding out.

Sadly Russian bear. They are not well equipped or trained. But there is a hell of a lot of them.

There actually isn’t given the size of the country, the population is roughly 144m, the US is 330m and even the UK is 67m and Russia have 70 times the land mass we do.

Russia have an area the size of Western Europe with absolutely faaack all in it of any note

Ffs the cant filtered me a long time ago too. Admin really needs to delete the filter button or at least limit its use for well known mentally challenged posters. They seem to be the only ones who abuse the function

Not paper tigers win wars.

He’ll carpet bomb the major cities turning them into deserts. Not sure too many will think of him as a paper tiger then

Robb mate πŸ€—, the Ruskies have been going easy on Ukraine πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ so far because its their brother nation. if they really wanted to they could raise Kiev to the ground in one day of carpet bombing

Raze actually - and they are essentially doing this anyway.

The only reason they are not paper tigers is because of their nuclear capabilities - hence why NATO is not getting involved

Apparently Putin worries about Stinger missiles etc supplied by the West ‘getting into the hands of terrorists who might target civilian aircraft’.

Who’d bet against a Russian airliner mysteriously being downed?

I am not an expert on, or student of, international politics but in my lifetime there have been conflicts instigated by a despotic leader trying to deflect attention from his poor leadership or his country's desperate financial status.
To try to justify this they cite historical political or religious differences and incite the population to action through rhetoric and fear of reprisal for non-compliance with their own diktats. Then they attack a country or state which they feel is weaker than their own to show what a great leader they are.
Being British I cannot exclude my own country from those actions.
There are times when it is right for nations to defend the rights of others.
