The race for top four

From the chasing pack - wolves and Southampton both dropped points.

Of the teams above us, West Ham and Utd dropped points.

Although regardless of our result tomorrow - our league position won’t actually change….it is however a massive opportunity to really strengthen our push for a top four spot.

So….how many do we think Everton will win by?

I think Arsenal will finish top 4 quite comfortably tbh.

Ever since our NFL team made that epic playoff run and won the SuperBowl championship, it’s given a psychological boost to our EPL team.

After all, if we can win the biggest prize in annual sports, then getting top 4 in the EPL should be easy.

Objectively, it is in Arsenal's hands and I think most people/bookies/stats show that we have the best chance. However, I am conscious we have a very young team, that we will have to deal with more pressure the closer we get to the top-4 (which there was little to no expectation of us getting beforehand) and our history of bottling it. There are plenty of psychological factors we will have to contend with which we didn't before.

I'm fine with being labelled a 'flat-track bully' if it gets us into the top-4, however realistically, we will need to take some points off the bigger sides at some point in our run-in. We're not in a position to be writing games off.

Due to their abundance and depth of attacking quality, I have a sneaky feeling Man Utd may get it. But their defence is horrific, so I really don't know.

In any case, we will drop points at some point, it's just about whether the other teams, i.e. Spurs and Man Utd, are good enough to take advantage.

Man Utd may still get it but I don’t think we are good enough. While we’ve had some good results like beating City twice, I don’t think we will have the consistency to go on a winning run from now till the end of the season.

Any hopes of top 4 will be extinguished tonight

Not only has our incompetence at running a football club stopped us grabbing probably the best chance for fourth for many years to come, we have gifted it to woolwich

It's interesting reading the comments in Shandy's article by our idiotic fans who, seem to think Arsenal are going to bottle top 4, when we are the bottle job champions.

The phrase never throw stones from glass houses is never more appropriate.

Yeah it’s cringe

Gonna potentially come back to bite us as Arsenal look in better form than we do

I will agree with the sentiments that anything less than 3 points tonight is top 4 done.

win tonight and defeat on saturday is probably also top 4 gone.

need to win tonight, avoid defeat at united and at brighton, and then beat west ham, as an absolute minimum.
