Roman Sanctioned

Chelsea dead as a going concern

This is a developing story!

They can still operate under special license. But I don't think Chelsea can be sold for a profit. What that means for Chelsea's debt obligations to RA? God knows. Does anyone know if Chelsea can even operate with their wage bill and interest cover on current level of income?

Didn’t Roman say he’ll write of the debt?
Hopefully end of Chelsea

No. In fact kept they kept on saying no 'profits' etc. so to me, means he wants his £1.5Bn of loans back.

I believe his position publicly from the start has been to forego the profits and to not ask for the loans to be repaid, remember reading this in a profile of the LA rams owner who were initially in talks to buy.

The ramifications for Chelsea will be profound.
Truly the end of an era for the club.

Can't see anyone paying off Romans' loans, c£1.5Bn and then investing further into a bottom-less pit that Chelsea is with such a small stadium.

I think CHelsea will be fine, Roman said he would do all he can to keep the club going apparently.
If they sell it, the money will go to the government
