The delays are the gov putting everything through lawyers to make sure they are legal, watertight and not open to challenge through the courts.

Bit surprised it took 20 years to do this….

Abramovich’s official disqualification from a role he didn’t hold isn’t going to make a tangible difference to any ongoing process or decision already made, including the club’s sale and him not having any control over the club anymore.

Yeah I'm surprised this non story news warranted an article with 20 comments. It shows that some people are gleefully desperate to jump on any negative news regarding Roman and Chelsea.
The real news of the last day or so is that Roman has fully agreed to the sale of Chelsea FC even though he now stands to make nothing out of it. There will be no legal challenge from him.
Legally leaving the way open for a quick sale of the club and quick transition so that things can return to normal and business can resume at Chelsea FC with all sanctions dropped.
Admittedly that's not the news that many opposition fans want to hear as it's very positive and infinitely more significant than the non story that Roman is banned as director after he's already had the club seized from him.

Why are you going on as if 20 comments is a lot? If anything it backs up that it’s a non story. 20 comments on this forum is a failure.

That an article got made on it at all is fairly embarrassing.

The whole Chelsea FC thing is a huge story and small developments will get discussed. You’ll probably just have to deal with that.

Ok fine, if that's the case then what about the infinitely bigger story that Roman has fully agreed to the sale of the club and will not make any legal challenges despite losing billions as a result. Thus allowing a smooth and quick sale of the club to happen imminently.
Strange that isn't getting discussed at length on here by opposition fans who are supposedly wanting to chat about all developments. In fact I haven't seen it mentioned even once by an opposition fan. But then again it's very positive news for Chelsea FC and clearly that's not what many people want to hear right now.

Doubt anyone with any integrity will touch anything Russian owned right now. It will be forever tainted by buying off someone with blood on their hands. Once the prospective buyers sees all the pitfalls off of buying from a Russian, expect them to quickly back out.

Another wet dream. Back to reality there are a queue of very interested parties looking to buy the club, something that should happen in the near future now that the owner has stated he will not challenge any sale.
