Kingcanners speaks: 'I’m calling on the British Government to allow a new owner to takeover ASAP so the football club gets on with being a centre of excellence for young black footballers.
Do not destroy our heritage.'

Why does Canoville feel the need to bring race into this?
Surely he’d have been better served mentioning a centre of excellence for young footballers, no?
Guy sounds like an idiot tbh.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's actually a sound bloke but I get your point and he could have phrased it better!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Apologies then if I’m being a bit harsh on him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Had to look him up tbh - his wiki suggests he is a ‘character’

Rio: “This is nothing but a direct attack on Chelsea FC. This isn’t about Roman Abramovich anymore.”
----------------------------------------------------------------------
When Rio talks about anything that isn't obvious, the opposite if what he says is true.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Said a well informed spokesman from the Le Ar$e board!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's rich considering some if the spalling rubbish I've been seeing on the Chelsea board over the past week or so. Sort yourselves out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Tbh Chelsea fans have embarrassed themselves massively over this affair, both in the ground and online.

A guy that was racially abused by his own fans on his debut as Chelsea's first ever black player and for much of his career too, is now an anti racism campaigner that is proud and happy that black players can today play for Chelsea and be applauded instead of abused.
Yeah, he sounds like an idiot and I can't see why he would mention race

You are an idiot for not understanding the significance of that.
Having said that, I think Cannoville's comments are misplaced, we are not the only club that is a centre of excellence for football players of all races and cultures.

The only direct attack is the one being funded by RA in Ukraine

Yes Canners misunderstood here
He later said: We think our club
@ChelseaFC
can claim to be the most successful club for achievement for black footballers in the UK & possibly Europe. In terms of honours won we don’t think any other club comes close!
