After watching yesterdays match, i cant help but feel seriously unlucky.
Are we the most unlucky team in the world? Poor decision from the referee for the first goal, VDV ( I CANT STAND THIS SMUG MAN) should have been sent off for his celebrations with the fans, another broken leg. Everything that can go wrong is going wrong atm.
But still, that is no excuse for having such a poor team.
Szczesney - Felt sorry for his yesterday, after such a good game and fantastic season, he made a mistake at such a crucial point. Still a fantastic player though.
Sagna - Awesome, we will miss him as much as we do vermaelen.
Merte - Was added to the team to add some steel, aerial ability and experience. So far i have seen nothing of this what so ever. Far to slow to play against some of todays players. Not communicating with song
Song - Not a centre back, but a very good midfielder, as you saw for our goal.
Gibbs - I think he's getting better, needs more game time and will be good enough.
Arteta - I just don't know. At times looks good, at times he's not in the match. Like yesterday.
Ramsey - Not even close to being ready for a starting place. Ive been saying this for such a long time, he dwells on the ball far too long, always turning into danger. He needs to speed up his play, barca have shown all that closing players down quickly is how to do it these days. Work rate is key.
Coquelin - Our best player by a country mile yesterday. If he continues this level of play, he will deservedly be put ahead of frimpong.
Theo - Only in the team because of who he is. Shouldnt continue to be picked if he continues to play so poor. AOC is IMO a much better option, or certainly will be soon.
RVP - Class act. Was left to try and beat spurs on his own yesterday. Needs help up there.
Gervinho - Not so sure. At times looks dangerous, but mostly just looks like another Theo.
Now of course, without Vermaelen and Wilshere, we are going to be weaker. But the replacements need to be better.
The players that we have baught this season, should of infact been baught last season. Arsene has let go 3 first team players, 2 of them being absolute world class, and then braught in players which are clearly no where near as good as them.
Gervinho is Nasri's replacement, and it is as clear as day that he is no where and never will be any where near as good as him. He should of been a substitute for us last season.
Santos is clichy's replacement, im not at all confident in him. Wasnt even a starter for fenerbache. I think he will be there to replace gibbs when the inevitable happens.
Park is someone who i no nothing about. A bit of a weird buy if u ask me.
Benayoun doesnt look quick enough for our game.
Mertesacker, someone we've been crying out for. Big and strong (apparently). Give me Koschelny every day of the week.
Arteta for Fabregas. We all know Arteta isnt as good. But Arteta is a better option then Ramsey.
The players we have braught in should be substitutes at best.
Out of our current team i think only Szczesney, Sagna, Vermaelen, Wilshere, Song and RVP are good enough. So that leaves us with another centre back, maybe a left back, another midfielder and 2 wingers.
We need a superstar in this team, someone that brings something different going forward, a Goetze, a Hazard, someone who has the ability to amaze.
We're doing what Liverpool has done, and if we dont spend big, like what they have had to do to get back up there, then im afraid this decline will only continue.
What Arsene has done wrong

Like i said at the beginning of the season, it's time to dig in and get dirty. This season isn't going to be pretty. Some awful decisions by Wenger have been coupled with some reallty unlucky events. Not much we can do about that now. Just do what we can and hope that Wenger will add in January.
Remember, we still have Vermaelen, Kosc, Diaby and Wilshere to return. Add Sagna to that list. Fingers crossed we can actualy put out a first choice team some time before the end of the season.!

Just like Blackburn Rovers are making a fool of Blackburn Rovers week-in week-out.

I wish we did play ourselves every week, we'd be guaranteed some points then.

The same could be said for Arsenal.

Szczeney is a quality keeper, you've been crying out for one for years. Unfortunately you've found him at the same time as your two world class midfielders desert you, to be replaced by average players that blow hot and cold (arteta, gervinio). Blaming bad luck is a cop out, every side gets good and bad luck, you make your own luck and in not ensuring there are quality replacements for deserting players or a good enough squad to cope with injuries wenger has made your bad luck himself.
