Will Conte be at Spurs next season?

So, the latest noise coming out is that Conte wants to stay at Spurs next season, just as long as ENIC`s level of ambition is in line with his own.

Conte is even going as far as calling out ENIC (rightly so in my opinion), with snide remarks about the last 20 years of our history and lack of trophies etc.

Given both parties history and the way both expect to do business, how do people expect this to pan out?

Will Lewis finally inject some capital, will Conte get the players he wants, will Levy change his ways, will proper ambition be shown and will Kane be persuaded to commit to Spurs etc?

Personally, after 20 years of ENIC, I can`t see enough changing, and after some end of season discussions, a mutual parting of the ways is likely. Which will almost certainly see the back of Kane also.

I hope I am wrong, but ultimately, business will always come first for ENIC, Lewis and Levy.

It`s going to be an interesting few weeks post the end of season that`s for sure.

I think if nuno was in charge still you would be in the bottom half. Your squad is so mediocre. This is now the time to seek Kane and re build

Maybe but thats pure conjecture. I'm a serious note..I seee a pattern of play now. Just hope we sign players in summer

Kane is, no doubt an ever running story, no doubt. But where would he go ?

I don't see him as someone who will up sticks and go off to one of the big clubs in Europe. He strikes me as a very down to earth family man, who won't wan't a lot of upheaval just to see if he can "do it abroad"

So if he stayed in the PL, where does he go ?
City are, it appears going for Haarland. A younger, cheaper and more achievable target.
Chelsea can't buy anyone, and still have Lukaku.
Arsenal - just no.
Liverpool don't need a striker, and if they did, don't tend to go for the traditional CF.
Newcastle. Is a possibility, but would Kane look at them as a longer term project, so not ready to challenge for 2/3 years.

So that leaves Utd as the logical place. Their current main strikers include two players with age very much against them, and a kid with potential, but not ready to help them to challenge. Oh and Rashford, who is too busy selling sarnies and focusing on his socially political career.

As we all remember the various players Utd have "raided" from us over the years, simply because they were bigger and richer, I guess we all should be hoping Lewis and Levy pull their financial fingers out and do what it takes to keep him, at least until his contract is nearing it's end.

Kane will stay with Spurs. What will he be remembered for more being Spurs top goalscorer, being the Prem all time top goalscorer, or winning a medal or two.

Of course he will be remember as being the best goalscorer. Shearer is always mentioned about his goalscoring feats, nobody every mentions his medals.

I think he'll stay this summer as he has a good relationship with Paratici and should get a couple of players he wants.

I don't see him staying any longer than that though. We'll still be so far behind Liverpool and City next season, and I doubt ENIC would be willing to spend what's needed to compete with them.

Nobody knows how next season will pan out. We may all be involved in World War II by then, with no football at all. Let`s just wait and see what happens before going full on pessimistic over Spurs.

Sorry old boy but you've been asleep 100 years.
It will be world war 111. That's 3 if you can read!

Kane deserves more...and he knows it. And his agents are telling him that for years now.
I hope he gets the transfer to a team that can help him with his dreams.
For it sure ain't Tottenham Hotspur.

Very fair point. And that ‘achievement’ with some ins and outs that were presumably with his agreement?

Conte won’t walk at the end of the season when he can earn silly money for 4 months and see how ambitious are the owners. If, as is usual, the transfers are left to the last week of the window and he ain’t satisfied he might walk at the worst time of the season right at the start.

Spot on. Said it before about this mouthy bloke. One title "bought" by Blackburn, the City of the day. Oh and took Newcastle down when he "played" at being a manager for 5 minutes. Should not be allowed such a public voice for such hypocrite who didn't do what he says others should be doing now.

Kane probably won't sign a new contract but I reckon he will stay one more season to try and break Greaves record.

Then he will tell levy that it is up to him to sell and get some cash or he will just leave for free in 2024.

Both Kane and Conte will be gone by Summer 2023.

I still think there is something significant about 2023 as the current and past 3 managers have had or have contracts up that point.

Kane is our main goal scorer and most creative player, you could sell him for £100m and replace with a £50m striker and a £50m creative player and still not replace his contribution. And with our record of bringing in players I have zero faith we would replace him adequately, so I am firmly in the Kane stays camp, it would be madness to sell him in my opinion.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The signings of Kulu and Bentancur have given me some hope that Paratici could bring in some good players with the Kane money. Even if not all of them stick, some might.

I think we should be open to the idea that Kane isn't irreplaceable. Use the example of Coutinho at Liverpool. May not have been anywhere near as good as Kane but his sale transformed them into title challengers. The sale of Bale for us, who was practically carrying Spurs at the time led to bringing Eriksen in and with the addition of others eventually led to us being better than before.

Besides Kane deserves to win something, and are we going to have to put up with him being out of sorts for a while if we keep him?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

No player individually deserves to win trophies, whoever they are. Football is a team game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think it's fair to say Kane deserves team trophies. Plenty of players far worse than him have so why doesn't he?
