last night, entitled Roman Abramovich`s Dirty Money, finally laid bare what an absolute crook Abramovich is. Absolutely nailed him. Not only was he involved in corruption at every level, he was also implicated as being part of a rigged election, in which kidnapping took place.
The question is, most of this was known before he was allowed to launder his dirty money through Britain, and you have to ask yourself, why the Government, Prem bosses ever allowed him anywhere near the country, and eventually to become owner of Chelsea FC.
Not only did they allow it, but they have now made the same mistake by allowing the Saudis to takeover Newcastle United. An equally corrupt and murderous bunch of leaders running the country.
At least now it should be a wakeup call to start cleaning this country of oil and Russian money. Sort it out Government, or step aside and let someone else do it.

Is this because they can't sell tickets and they want the balance of support to be fair? Surely they have an allocation of season ticket holders that are eligible to attend? I don't get it. It's an away game anyway. They'll only have a few thousand as an allocation anyway.
This sets a dangerous precedent until the end of the season. Play this behind close doors and all of their fixtures will have to be.

Is it also because FA cup games gate receipts are split 50/50 so CFC wouldn't be able to get their full share? Pretty harsh view on Boro that!

We had the debate around Abramovich yesterday so I'm not going to dig that one up again but on the Saudi side of football investment, you can kiss goodbye to regulation that stops that. Under normal circumstances, Newcastle's ownership, and any subsequent ownership of a PL team by a Saudi group, you'd think we'd turn them away in light of recent events. The truth is that there has been a political and geographical shift in where we now source our oil from. We've ceased trading with Russia and Saudi Arabia are next in line. I think Boris is negotiating as we speak.
With that in mind, you haven't got a hope in hell of seeing Saudi owners disappear from the Prem. If anything, this increases the chances of more involvement. Given the sale of Chelsea is now effectively in the government's hands and they're also negotiating for oil, I really wouldn't be surprised to see the Saudi Group interested in Chelsea suddenly stealing a march and winning the bid. There would be uproar, but I can see it happening.

Dont confuse the Government and the Premier League.
The horse may have bolted already with NUFC, but if the fit and proper test included a human rights element to it then that could exclude such future owners and while the Govt may not like it they could be seen to be pushing the PL into accepting owners who hold poor human rights records.

The PL is almost financially irrelevant compared to the economic power of oil contracts. There may well be new rules put in place but the PL will come under direct pressure from the government to allow certain deals through, maybe be guiding the interested party through certain loopholes that can be used to circumvent the rules.

The Government are every bit as corrupt as Abramovich. They were happy to take Russian money, and they are happily doing deals with the murderous Saudi Regime. They are about as hypocritical as they come. They have no morals.

And thank you to the CFC fan on our board who found this comment.
Hopefully he will keep coming back at you with this time after time
Your hatred for a football team is psychotic. You are unbalanced , hatred should never be in a sport, rivalry yes but hatred never

Hopefully Russia will invade Ukraine, and the West will then seize all the assets of all the Russian Billionaires laundering their money through Football clubs, that would put paid to Abramovich and could bankrupt Chelsea.
