Tax case

Blame the south, the north is mainly Labour. Unfortunately, they're not a great choice either.

Still I was shocked at the Tory swing even in the North. I think only Liverpool stayed all labour. Was brought up in Donny when my parents moved there from Glasgow when young and am surprised everyone seems to have forgotten about Thatcher and what she did.

It was a knee jerk reaction against Labour. The right to vote should be taken away from a lot of people.

I'm glad people agree. A lot of people in this country seem to think she was a good Prime Minister.

Not in Scotland they don't. When she dies there will be street parties here, let me tell you. What I think is interesting here is that even the 'middle classes here are def more left wing as well compared to England. Something that shocked me when I moved back here.

More of a group/society aspect to Scottish politics, hence prescriptions, uni fees etc. We lose stuff to get them, but worth it.

Thatchers effects are here now. No houses for anyone, as she sold them off, this caused massive house price rises in the private sector and a lock of affordable private and public housing. Getting rid of industry in exchange of bung or places on boards for her cronies.

The break up of unions and union power. Now no-one has a livable wage and everyone works cr@p hours with no conditions and people still attack the unions to this day.

Having lived in Germany for a year and it's left wing. It makes Britain look 3rd world. with good jobs and conditions for everyone. Good unions that everyone backs.

The lack of industry has created Ghettos all over the country here. I hate the Tories. Couldn't stand Blair/Mandleson either as they weren't far off a Tory as well
