Same. As a football fan I can, and kinda have to, stretch my morals for many things - but I'd find it very hard to support a regime that's obviously in the pocket of MBS (whether they are 'officially' or not). It just wouldn't feel right.

It would also be incredibly difficult to support us in the knowledge there would be individuals on the board who legitimately hate me simply for being born in the west.

Its easy for Western governments to terrorise the rest of the world because their people are gullible and believe whatever they're told so they don't object to it, then later they're crying "why does everyone hate us so much?" Well I hate to break it to you but the west is probably the biggest caaant there is, even when compared with Communist China and Russia.

Extremely simplistic, not wrong but not the full picture. e.g. they'd think I'm not even human right from jump street because I don't believe in God. I legally couldn't even gain citizenship in Saudi Arabia because of that fact.

Win, lose or draw vs. Liverpool in 2003, Liverpool were always going to be fine. We on the other hand were going to change whatever the outcome & the assumption was to fear the worst especially if we lost.

By comparison to that, which still isn't real football related hardship, this is nothing.

Gronkjaers goal and those times were already a dream for fans like JFDI and myself Devil, nearly 20 years earlier we faced the very real threat of losing the club!

Don't think there's any Chelsea fan that didn't love those times? For older fans like yourself it was living the dream, for fans like me that grew up through them it's so nostalgic looking back at them. That Champions League run in 99-00 was glorious, days when seeing us play in the San Siro & the Nou Camp were precious.

The thing I remember most from that Liverpool match was Zola. Firstly not getting picked which 12 y/o me wasn't best pleased with, but that moment where he roasted Carragher & can't remember the others and thinking, "please... PLEASE keep him whatever happens!"
