Yes that's right our very own Daniel Levy is the longest serving chairman in the Premier League. Our illustrious 60 year old leader has been inflicting misery on the Spurs faithful for 21 years.
In that time he has delivered the fans just 1 paltry League Cup, numerous false dawn's and bucket loads of ruined hope.
All hail Dan Levy, he deserves a statue at WHL for services to the balance sheet and 2 decades of frugal spending.
ENIC, Lewis & Levy OUT!
Longest serving chairman in the PL

Completely unrelated Billy but were you told to stop using the Y-word in your username or did you do it yourself?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I wasn't told, I decided to change it because the club no longer wants to be associated with the Y word. Even though most of us are not offended by it

Very noble of of you Billy. I am not offended by it in the slightest, but then I am not Jewish. They could start to ban some of the other offensive racial stuff and hissing that comes from other sets of supporters as well.

We have to recognise that a successful club is two parts…….first comes the financial probity side which focuses on the club reaching established financial targets. Failure to reach these fiscal targets will result in failure on most fronts. Levy is possibly one of the most astute and clever individual in regard to this.
The second part is the football side, which is run by people who focus totally on football matters. These include player acquisition, training, scouting and tactical strategy on the pitch.
Whilst Levy can influence most of the first part, he is limited in the second part and has to rely on the “professionalism” of the coaching staff to deliver results.
people complain about NFL, Boxing and concerts at the stadium being nothing to do with the club………….Wrong on so many levels, building a world class stadium there needs to be a return on investment. Playing once a fortnight over nine months would be financial suicide, the stadium needs to be utilised fully in order for the club to ensure a stabilised future.
Yes we have had some top managers, but it wasn’t Levy who played in Madrid against Liverpool and lost, it wasn’t Levy who played again Southampton, Wolves and Burnley and lost was it.
The club has invested, sometimes with great success and sometimes with failure. Levy only sanctions signings the manager, coaching and scouting staff recommend, this means that failure on the pitch returns to where it belongs, the coaching staff and the players themselves.
Yet the cry as always from Don, Billy and Co is always Levy out, Enic out etc.
I am not saying they are wrong, just that they are not looking at all the reasons why we haven’t won anything since 2008.
I also agree with the poster who said that if Chelsea & City had not become so powerful after a massive injection of funds, we would have been more successful over the past decade.
Just my views and thoughts.🤔

Levy selects and employs the scouts and coaching staff, he also sets the paltry transfer budget and decides whether to buy new players or not, the book stops with him.

This is absolute rubbish ...... and coming from a Spurs supporter who should know better.
Levy is on the record many times about his opinions of the current marketplace for football players. He refuses to bid for any player he thinks is too expensive. He tries to play the market by using "last minute bidding" tactics. Consequently he will only bid for the dregs, the left overs.
We have only to look at the Dybala fiasco of three years ago to see what happens with Levy.
And his management is compounded by his abominable treatment of Harry Kane.
The sooner Tottenham Hotspur gets out from under ENIC, the sooner it might start winning something again.

So it is never the players fault then Ted, we have spent a lot of money and the players have been selected by the Manager who puts his choices forward to the ‘Transfer Committee”. This then goes to Levy for budgetary approval, as with many organisations there will be certain caveats governing spending approval………..levels of authority included on spend.

Not sure what you mean by “abominable treatment” of HK.?
The club put a value on a player who had not too long ago signed a six year contract, this valuation was not met by any club so he stays a Spurs player. Harry decided he was not in the right frame of mind to play for a club that pays him over £200k per week to turn out.
Do not for one minute think there was as some have said, a gentleman’s agreement between DL & HK,.
City were willing to pay £100m for Grealish, who cannot hold down a regular place at City, yet unwilling to pay north of that for Kane, a proven international and PL striker.
Why should we lower our valuation to suit another club, if they want him then pay the going rate.
Look at players like Ben White, £50m and uncapped, how does that rate when Kane is a World class player and captain of his country? Sancho at United cost something like £80m and he is not exactly tearing up trees for them. Lukaku at £95m not happy at Chelsea.. Now if Lukaku is worth nearly £100m, then Kane who is a far better player surely commands a much higher valuation. Plus he is home grown which also carries a premium.

If you buy second rate players you get second rate results.
As I said, Levy's low ball approach to the market is a matter of record.
And I'll make you a prediction that will be a result of Levy's approach.........Conte will leave at the end of this season.

Ted…….
You could be right let’s wait until the summer and see if Conte is still around.
It is the coaching staff & scouts who pick the player 95% of the time. They convince Levy and then it is down to negotiations and we know he is a very difficult man to screw around with.

What Levy does is put a boundary around the whole market of players. Certain players are out of bounds.
Hence the staff can only pick players within Levy's boundaries.
Would the staff like to pick Upamecano, for example.
You bet the would!
Can they even consider that player?
No way Jose!
And THAT is why Conte will walk when this season is over.
