100% scripted. It was a gentle slap. One of the worst years for Oscars in terms of movies and hype so they needed something to generate interest.

If that was scripted then Will deserves another Oscar..

The speech Ricky Gervias gave was brutal and hilarious, far more witty than Chris Rock, obviously will smith has a screw loose now, but the joke wasn’t even funny anyway.

I think Chris Rock had a few ideas rolling through his brain at that moment, looked like he was tempted to say something else but just thought better of it in the moment.

Probably a smart move cos he made a rubbish joke but still came out of it looking good and getting plenty of publicity while Smith and his family just come across awfully.

Next comedian doing live TV show, gets to walk on stage with a baseball bat.
‘…i’m ready for any of you sensitive muthafackers tonight, come on I dare you!’

Lol there's so much material on it, Smith's gonna be the subject of a lot of jokes over the next 6 months
