5 subs next season

So the Premier League has agreed to make five substitutions each game from next season.

A big plus for the big teams with bigger squads.

You effectively can make all 5 subs in 1 go, and change half your outfield team. A great tactic to have.

Be interesting to see how big teams spend over the summer.
Can see a few going big

They shouldve at least made it so the extra subs are academy players

It only benefits the big teams able to have bigger and bigger squads and keep them happy. Hate. It.

Ridiculous change that only benefits the likes of Liverpool and City. The game just feels so tainted now and it seems like next season has already been stained. No integrity at all.

You are right. Maybe we should find another sport to follow.

You go first, I'm right behind you.

THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually not quite, I've argued that clubs should be FORCED to bring on x number of Uxx subs at 60 mins forcing clubs to blood youngsters. If everyone has to do it then no disadvantage, right? Young players get experience, everyone wins.

Other leagues have it and we play more games, and have no Xmas break and faster, more demanding games. Makes sense to protect players whilst it will also allow more youngsters to get some minutes I feel.

EPL plays far less games than the Championship, which is a more fast paced and physical league. They also have less squad depth so far more difficult. They make do with 3 subs

Doesn't mean it's right. Plenty of players get run into the ground and lots of youngsters end up burning out from over exposure and too much football. We don't have a break. Just because they have more games doesn't mean more subs is a bad idea. If we don't fall in line with other leagues and protect our players we will suffer on all fronts.

They don’t have European football and usually go out of the domestic cups in the earlier rounds
