Derby day. Pies v Pasties. A history going back to boxing day 1983 and Jeff chandler scoring for Bolton to win at Springfield park. Not just pride at stake. Wigan in 2nd place going not just for automatic promotion but the league one title need the points to overtake Rotherham and hold off mk Dons. It actually looks like going to be an exciting finish in the top 6. From a bolton point of view 11 points plus goal difference with just 7 games left is too much to make up but after being beat 4-0 at the unibol and knocked out the league cup in the 2nd round even taking just a point today could be enough to dent wigans ambitions. No matter what the results it's going to be an exciting week with 3 big tests all that used to be premier league fixtures and will tell how far we have come and where we need to strengthen to get to where Wigan are now next season. Team news. Unfortunately isgrove is injured long term again along with tutte, fossey and Sheehan. Lee is fit/closing in on being fit but surely we need to learn a lesson with what happened with isgrove and get Lee fully fit for next season. Great news Jones is back and the 4 on international duty have returned fit. I would expect Jones for sadlier as the one change from the starting line up at crewe. Can Bolton win today? The last Bolton win at Wigan was in 2011. 3-1 to Bolton with an own goal and goals from ngog and eagles. Don't forget early kick off 12.30. Someone remind swie we don't want him logging in at 3pm 😃

After the terrible start you have to be happy getting something from it. A point is better than nowt isn't it.

We will regroup and go again next season. with a couple more signings we should be good for a real punt at promotion to the Championship.
We still have six games left in this season. I just hope that Evatt doesn't let it drift into a wind down to the season.

Onwards to 8pm Tuesday night at home.
Portsmouth another name above us in the table, can we get the team and tactics right for this one ?
We need to end the season with some fluent winning displays to set us up for next season.

Ifollow ruined the moment missing the Bolton goal. Looking at the highlights it's strange the Wigan players gave Aimson the time and space to take his time and pick his spot for Bodvarsson to head home. Almost like a free kick.

My iFollow wobbled much early in the game but that could have been the satellite internet connection.
Our goal did look like the build up to the cross was in slow motion and a dead ball kick, they let Bodvarsson have space to manoeuvre himself nicely as well.

I lost my internet connection yesterday and on Saturday it kept dropping off. Rubbish connection and no one is available on Sunday to report it to.
I phoned the company at 9:00 am today only to receive a recorded message to say the phone lines aren't manned until 9:30. I rang again and was informed that it might be back on this afternoon. I am now at my son's house looking after the children.
The park changed its supplier fourteen months ago. The fee doubled and the service is no better than we had previously. it looks as if someone is making money from this change.
