YET AGAIN Wilfred Zaha caused havoc with our defence, admittedly we have been flat as a pancake today but this happens EVERY SINGLE TIME he plays against us.π
It truly makes you wonder who was part of the decision with Raul Sanllehi to buy the hapless Pepe for 72m in preference to Zaha. π
Anybody who thought that was a good idea should be looking in the mirror and perhaps seeking alternative employment. π€¦π»ββοΈ
Baffling how we bought Pepe over Zaha π€·π»βοΈ

You wouldn't be saying that if Tomiyasu had played today

Not really, Zaha's no better really despite what stats say. Never been impressed by him, just runs into players with the ball for pens.
I can see why we'd refuse to pay 50 mil for Zaha but agree to pay the 70 for Pepe (think the longass terms are a big part of the final price tag though). Though you can argue with hindsight now, at the time it wasn't unreasonable to think Pepe would step up another level (still could tbh). Zaha on the other hand is clearly as good as he's ever going to get. There's zero potential improvement left in that player. That's why nobody bought and why we got Pepe. It was the right choice. Not Pepe's fault Arteta's an ass with no idea how to use attacking players to play attacking football.

Zaha might have hit his ceiling, but it is so high that to date Pepe hasn't been able to see that ceiling with binoculars. π€¦βοΈ

Dont ever want Zaha near my club. Cheat that has found his level at Palace.

I would still sign Zaha even at 29 or whatever age he is.
He has turned into a very clever player and would be unreal for us
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's a big ol' charging diver Castor. "Clever player" the English football code for CHEATER.
He'd be no more devastating at Arsenal than he has been at Palace. This isn't a player who will "thrive on the service" at AFC. The strength to his game is being given the ball to run with, not working the spaces, running in behind or any of the other goal scoring attributes in attacking play.
It's actually Ayew you want if you want someone the AFC service will make a difference to, that one'd be popping up on the end of allsorts from Odegaard and Saka. Zaha is too one dimensional for coming to Arsenal to make any difference. What you see from him at Palace is ALL you will see anywhere. Because get the ball and run into players with it is pretty much all he can do.

Pepe is shocking if he cost 50 million let alone his actual fee. Zaha is clearly a better player in nearly every department. Would palace start Pepe over Zaha? No chance. Arguing Pepe hasn't reached his ceiling as a reason why he is better is daft tbh. What of this is the best Pepe can do? He has done nothing to suggest he can do better.

Shiitt is harsh on Pepe as he wasn’t the dumbo who spent 72m on him, to date inconsistent mediocre would be fair.

Sounds even more like he is suited ideally for the Holloway Diving Club then.
Except of course he isn't really, because he is not actually a "cheat"
