Just watched a great Documentary about the beginning and life of the legendary Boot Room at Anfield - it was a brilliant programme, going through the years of Shankly, Paisley, Fagan etc right up modern day and Klopp
Something Klopp said towards the end about the importance, honesty intimacy and togetherness of his staff - certainly was in the mould of what Shankly had started some 60 years previously - he used the term of the ‘Boot Room Reloaded’ which I thought was brilliant, humble and respectful of the Liverpool tradition
Apparently, they’ve actually built a new ‘Boot Room’ in their new stand at Anfield
For the first time it made me realise that what he is actually creating is the same ideology, mentality and setup by following in the same footprints of the great Shankly
And I think if he’s given the space and the resources, that he’ll do just that - the more I see and hear of Klopp, the more I really like and respect him
It’s definitely worth a watch

I’ve been supporting Liverpool for 40 years and seen many managers come and go. For me things really started to change when King Kenny left the managers role first time around, although the rot had already set in before that.
I think you are spot on op even though we have had some class managers like Houllier and Benitez here the first manager who really understands the boot room mentality is Klopp.
To me it’s a question of whether Klopp can build a dynasty the same way Shankly did with players and managers ready to come through for years to come.
Personally I think he’s well on the way to achieving that.

Just listening to him and more importantly his back room staff talk, they are all united and focused on what they’re about and want to achieve
That has been installed by Klopp adopting and embracing the tradition
It really is an very interesting documentary - the last 10 minutes are fascinating
