How is it that a good, honest team like Burnley (struggling at the bottom of the league) can be denied by the EPL the chance to sign Victor Moses? I find this so so poor from the Premier League and it just leaves a real sour taste to the mouth. He's effectively a free agent and living in a dictatorship but they have the nerve to block the move? A move that would get him out of Russia and reunite him with his family?? Disgusting from the Premier League and they should be ashamed. No moral ethics whatsoever.
I see La Liga and also The Championship haven't prevented players affected by the war joining their leagues, so why are we? The Premier League really have tainted themselves over this, as we so often hear about how the 'EPL is the best league in the world' both on and off the pitch but they've badly let themselves down over this. I find it laughable that they've said they won't allow the transfer due to 'sporting integrity', it feels to me like all the integrity is gone now this season and this confirms it.
Don't forget that this is the same league that allow Chelsea to play every week and the same Football Association that are happy to let that same Chelsea team, owned by a Russian, compete in their challenge cup competition. To say that Burnley aren't allowed to sign a player just because he's in Russia is 'against sporting integrity' is hypocrisy when they allow Chelsea to compete with their Russian money. Not to mention Abramovich's clear links to Putin. The season feels irreversibly tainted now and I hope Burnley take the EPL to the highest court possible to ensure there are consequences.

If he can't leave the country then there is no point signing for anyone is there?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He can leave the country if he wants. He just can't fly directly to here. If he was that bothered, he'd get out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I know that, just pointing out a circular flaw to Culers rant, it will go over his head though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Russia could order him to return there though if he doesn't have another club to sign for.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As if anything Russia demand is going to be listened to.
Not being funny but if he was that desperate he could afford to charter a private plane to a safe place and make his onward journey to the U.K. from there.

Really, does he need more than this one?

Surely they would be allowed to sign him, start paying him while he trains with them or plays reserve games, let him escape Russia and re-join his family, but they won't be allowed to register him to play in the PL as it's outside the transfer window?

If you think it's OK to leave someone stranded in an evil dictatorship, that's on you not me.

Not according to the EPL as it goes against 'sporting integrity'... the same 'sporting integrity' that allows warlords and human rights abusers to flood the league with money. The whole season is tainted now. It feels so so dirty and wrong. I think regardless of who wins it, it will almost be an afterthought and people will remember the corruption and dirty £ instead.

This is how much integrity there is. City are a disgrace for the fraud they’ve committed, by lying about revenue and fudging FFP.

Talk about starting the obvious, also quite unnecessary and irrelevant.

You expect ''morals'' from a league that promotes racism and political allegiances?
