To the club shop tomorrow, me and the missus.
I need a new top. Anyone still able to get into the shirt size that they bought when they were 21.
Or are others more like me where it's not candles on the cake that indicate age, more the number of "Xs" on the shirt sizes you have to buy???
Must walk the dogs more and further.
We're going down ........

Take up running, with or without the dogs, it does wonders for both your waistline and your mental health.

Walking the dog don't help, I go with mine 4-5 times a day, at least 2 long walks in there!..
Got a bit off a gut, but I'll be the first to stand up and admit its all paid for!.

Running used to be my thing. Bad injury to my ankle(s) on an assault course before I left the military has left me with permanent pain if i try to run more than a few yards. Walking is my thing and I can do generally without issue. I need younger, fitter dogs maybe ... not the old sods i've currently got !!!

Cycling is good too. I go down the canals - its mainly flat so pretty easy. Can cycle from Woodlesford to Horsforth on a good day. I go walking the dogs as well

The pale green gear is quite nice tbf

I really wanted a pale green quarter zip, but it seems to always be out of stock. I bought online a fleece and a t-shirt both large, the fleece fits like an extra large and the t-shirt like a medium…sizing all over the place, leaves me not wanting to buy from the online shop again.

golf could do wonders. if you walk and carry that is.
and if the course is hilly you have it all, aerobics and cardio. just dont stop between nines for a big lunch or after for 6 or 7 beers.

I hate hills, it is only when I moved from London to the South Downs that I realised just how unfit I am. Also got me some SPD's and I am able to use one as I am scared of falling so going up hill is hard.

1/3 less food
2/3 more water
3/3 more exercise
The first was hard; felt starving for the first 5 days; like I wasn’t eating properly. Anyway, I persisted, cutting out too many takeaways and most of the snacking on unhealthy treats and lost over 2 stone after 4 months.
Turned 50 last month and still keeping the weight off.
Back in my old Leeds shirt also.

Crazy thing is, yes, i used to play golf loads in my younger years. Certainly no pro, but to a reasonable level. Good shout, walking - even up and down hills, generally isn't a problem. Might have to take a look at that.
