Can the new man make Maguire a decent CB, or do we just bench him until he leaves?

So fed up of this guy.
Ralf is actually worse than Ole. Hasn't learnt anything from Ole's sacking

Maybe if he learns not to kick his teammates in the head.

Maguire comes up for corners, does nothing productive and leaves us open for a counter - same with Lindelöf. There is no rule in the game that painfully slow defenders have a God-given right to come up for set pieces. Tradition? I say Bull. It is so predictable and yet we make the same bad decisions over and over and over again. I simply cannot bear to watch this man play football. Terms like lumbering and oaf-like fit our skipper to the tee. We had great captains in the past like Keane and Bruce - now this is acceptable?

I think we need to remove the captaincy from him and bench him. It’s a bit of a myth the his first 2 seasons were very good also. He’s not up to it.

More realistically it's a case of can Maguire (and the coaches) turn the dross beside him into a cohesive defensive unit which is unlikely (Shaw excepted).

The problem is that Maguire was signed for his commercial appeal rather than his footballing ability, like all of our signings like, ever.
End this galacticos policy now!

Maguire is a decent defender if u play with a deep line and hit on the break. Any team wanting to play, pressing game with a high line, hes ruthlessly exposed. United right now are caught between the two and are neither/or.
