Go back further in the thread and you'll see why the cost of players suddenly became relevent to some people. They are worth every penny because of what they've done to help the club win numerous trophies and the money that brings in.

Right, so you accept that you did assign worth based on cost and so you were lying when you claimed you didn't. Imagine having to flat out lie to justify a claim.

How would you assign worth v cost then?

Cost divided by the number of points gained? Cost divided by number of clean sheets? (Where a lower number is better)

Cost divided by number of goals conceded? (where a higher number is better)

Real Madrid destroyed Man City then afterall they won by 2 goals last night and went through.
