How does that work?
https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/61221249
I was following the live text on the BBC and everyone was falling over each other to say that this was the best match they'd ever seen. Everyone was lauding the football. Sensational match, etc, etc.
The article linked says that City was in total control, complete dominance of Madrid, peppering the goal. Should have been 4-0 up first half.
And then the player ratings show 38% scored a 5, 38% scored a 6 and only 23% scored a 7, with KDB on a 7.83
After following the live text and reading the article I was expecting most of the team on at least a 7 and higher.
So how do they get to these low scores for one of the best CL matches ever?

A superb game to watch but greatest game ever? not imo anyway, of course everyone will have their own opinion and rightly so.
Thought KDB and Benzema were the best two players on the pitch with some others just a level below, the most enjoyable part for me was the times Madrid scored right after City had and just when I had thought City would run away with it
Also the pace and some of the passing were a joy to behold, more of the same in the second leg please

It was nowhere near the best match ever
It was very good to watch though. City were the better team but Madrid just refused to lay down. Benzema the best player on the pitch last night. De Bruyne had a good first half but disappeared in the 2nd.

Surprising coming from a United fan who has been served up dogshiiit from his team for 10 years.
If you read the live article, fans, pundits, commentators, were all in agreement it was a sensational match. A 7 goal classic. A thriller. A brilliant performance.
So how come 76 percent scores a 6 or lower?

couple of things.....
nothing to do with utd serving up dog shiiite for years... put your ovaries away... it wasnt the best match ever... great match.. but not the best.
second thing.... doesnt take a rocket scientist to work out that those scores would have been manipulated by every non city fan voting against the people making a genuine rating.
youre welcome

Tbh Real Madrid kind of reminded me of a better Man utd. Poor defensively, beaten in midfield in general, but stayed in the game with individual moments of brilliance.

Touchy
I said it was a good match, just not near the best match ever.
The defending from both teams wasn't very good and Madrid's midfield was overran. Some superb individual moments from Benzema and Vincious Jr and some great play by City's attacking players.
Not sure what United has to do with it, but obviously hit some sort of nerve with you

In terms of quality of football and intensity, both our league games were better against City than last night. I'd say our 2-2 at Chelsea was too. Last night was great and the fact it was a CL semi final made it that much better, but City weren't as intense as they have been.

Fernandinho's best days may well be behind him?
The City defense on that second goal was painful to watch.

No doubt he is showing signs of age, but he is the 2nd choice DM, not really suited to be the 4th choice RB in a defence that was missing it's preferred FB's.
