That was fun. Before the game I wanted us to smash them so that we can rest players in the 2nd leg. After the game, it took an hour and I realised that the team gave the fans 2 things, A proper CL night and we have a 1-0 lead against European Royalty.
Zinny Looks like money and I enjoyed that Ferny cameo. That was just a fun night.
Yes, we wasted chances, but we knew the issues the team has taking chances before the season, never mind the match. We should have smashed Liverpool but never mind the mentality of this group just keeps growing. I always look back to the games against PSG last season where I think they kinda battered us in the first half of each leg but we held on and they lost their composure.
I fear nothing at the Bernabeu. If anything I actually think we will beat them. The only advantage they could have taken was if the 3 away goals count. But they won't.
Some key players are looking in peak form (Rodri, KDB, Bernardo) and some are slowly warming up to this run in namely Foden, Gabby, Zinny and Mahrez.
7 games potentially left. I know it's a hard slog for the squad but they have won the league before, several times and I bet they are enjoying this and I think they see these games out.

I don’t think you’ll beat Madrid in Spain. The team obviously has a fear when it comes to the business end in Europe.

I don't know what to make of Madrid to be honest. On paper City should win, but Real have players capable of produce individual moments to turn the tie around.

I'll save my predictions for the 2nd leg until I see the team sheet.
A lot was made of Fernandinho being outpaced by Vinicus, very little of how he created goal out of nothing 10 minutes earlier.
