I believe this is pure speculation but even if true, too late. There was a clear process that many have followed yet he chose not to. If he was ever serious then he should have followed the process.
It is widely reported at the moment who the media believe has won.
This includes 2.5b to charity and 1.75b for investment in Chelsea to be invested over the next 10 years.
I suspect numbers quoted in any potential bid stories are taken from this which is probably what Roman intended all along and accounts for the price of the club.
2.5b to charity and the rest for future investment in the club hence his desire to maximise the revenue generated for the sale despite knowing he will get nothing.

Isn't the money supposedly going to a charity to aid those affected by the war in Ukraine?
And who has been most affected?
Well Abramovich for a start, that's who, he's lost a fortune.
He'll have his fingers in that pie trying to claw back as much of his missing loot as he can.

How has he lost a fortune, he was worth more than he was when he bought Chelsea. Owning a football club has never been about making money for anyone, if you want to make money then there are many easier and safer ways to do that.
