Man U we didn’t win due to missing our chances. Everton was a bad day but again our defence was not troubled and Pickford played the game of his life. Wolves was more to do with an ill disciplined midfield missing the defence minded Jorginho and Kante, one of the Yeo playing would have been good. Christensen like the rest of the back line had little to do against a poor Leeds team decimated by injury and suspension that conceded inside 3 mins and were reduced to 10 within 24 mins I think.

Interesting analysis...absolving defence of fault in those 3 matches, particularly the one that played right-CB in back 3 and has been error-strewn.
I expected it.

I know a certain player that would have been berated had he been playing as inadequately, as seen in those 3 matches.
Pitchforks at the ready for any little mistake from this certain player, nit-picking.

Defence have all been making errors (Silva included) recently, some more noticeable and significant (leading directly to goals) than others.
Contrary to popular belief, It's not just one or two (unpopular) players.

If you look at the Wolves game i really don;t see how the defence gets the blame. Our midfield was where it all went wrong, totally out of position all game meaning as soon as Wolves won the ball back they were immediatly through our midfield and through on goal agst our back three.

As for AC, he blows hot and cold. Sometimes he is excellent, sometimes awful. If we want to win a title again, we can't afford hot and cold players. We need consistancy across the team.

Plus, let us not forgetthat he is only good when playing in a back three and a total liability when playing in a four.

So for me, he is worth keeping in the squad, butIi seriously doubt he is a consistent starter in a team wanting to win the title again..
