starts in under 2 hours!!
Title Race
After a run of 5 wins and 22 goals scored since meeting their title rivals, City are in a very strong position with a 3 point lead and a +7 goal difference advantage on Liverpool.
City have West Ham away today - with the Hammers still chasing a European place. Then they have Aston Villa, a team with a fair few connections to Liverpool, not least their manager!
After playing in the FA Cup final yesterday, Liverpools next league game is on Tuesday night away to Southampton. This could be a good chance for Liverpool to readdress the goal difference issue, with the Saints always ripe for a hammering (and they haven't had their annual 9-0 thrashing yet).
A home game against Wolves on the last day to come.
My personal opinion is it is done, and City will get 6 points.
Race for Top 4
Chelsea are not secure, but it will be a massive shock if they don't get 3rd now. Leicester and already relegated Watford for them, really only needing 1 point due to goal difference.
The real race is Arsenal and Spurs, which was blown open on Thursday night. Arsenal have the advantage of 1 point, but Spurs have the chance to take a step ahead with their 12pm kick off at home to Burnley. Arsenals chance to reply is Monday night at Newcastle.
The last day fixtures are Arsenal vs Everton and Norwich vs Spurs.
I have faith in Arsenal taking the required 6 points, although would love a favour from Burnley today!!
Relegation
Southampton are mathematically still in the fight, but I am going to say their 40 points is enough.
That leaves Leeds, Burnley and Everton. Leeds only have 2 games left, while their rivals face a big 3 games this week.
The relevant fixtures are:
Spurs vs Burnley - 12pm
Leeds vs Brighton - 2pm
Everton vs Brentford - 4:30pm
Everton vs Crystal Palace - Tuesday 7:45pm
Aston Villa vs Burnley - Tuesday - 7:45pm
Brentford vs Leeds - Sunday 4pm
Burnley vs Newcastle - Sunday 4pm
Arsenal vs Everton - Sunday 4pm
I feel Everton will be safe before the last day. I predict 4 points (win today, draw Tuesday) in their next 2.
Burnley, on the other hand, I can see struggling to get even 1 point in those 2 games.
Leeds, with injury issues aplenty, have a tough task against in form Brighton, but I have a sneaky feeling they will get a draw.
Hopefully the final day will have a lot of twists and turns - but I am edging towards Burnley going down thanks to a Leeds win over Brentford and Burnley only drawing with Newcastle.
Football is known to throw up a fair few twist and turns, so it should be a thrill a minute week!! Strap in (or on if that is your thing).
Race for 6th
West Ham will clinch 6th and send Man Utd into the Europa Conference League with 2 wins.
Last week of the season...

Thank god we are playing against the worst defence outside the bottom 3 then!

Ah that explains that I have to say then.
You’ve got City beating West Ham to secure the title, but then West Ham beat City to give us Europa Conference.
Good article otherwise

I didnt predict West Ham to win, just stated if they win both they will get Europa ahead of United.

Another advantage for Spurs is they're refs favourite team. May be to do with Kane the only English top scorer in league. Haven't seen today's penalty but won't be surprised if it was nothing

It was soft as $hit. And Burnley hit the post. Say what you like about them, but they look like a team at the moment.

Says a fan of a team regularly referred to as LiVARpool !!!
Oh the double standards of a football fan.
