Final home game in the premier league in front of their fans who they have let down ?
Actually played well in their last game against Wolves
No pressure at all and well rested vs a weary spurs
Spurs have been awful recently against the poorer teams relying on a desperate attempt by VAR to award them a penalty for a point blank ball to hand that no one appealed for and everyone who has ever kicked a ball knows is definitely not a foul
This has draw written all over it which of course is not enough for us . Can they however surprise us all with one more twist?
As an aside, to explain yesterday: imagine all week everyone is telling you youβre going to succeed without a doubt? Whether it be a sport ? Presentation ? Interview? Every single player at every corner on every newspaper on every tv show being told they are going to do it.The media frenzy over the fact Newcastle would beat us (despite being 4/1 with bookies which is true barometer) definitely contributed to their best performance of the season as most of their fans put it. The media agenda against arsenal rumbles on
Will spurs be accused of over celebrating if they finish 4th ? Will they get an article like this https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2327380/Arsenal-celebrate-finishing-fourth--despite-winning-trophy.html
Highly doubt it
Are we doing Norwich a disservice?

Give up guys, if we're relying on Norwich to hand us top 4 we simply don't deserve it. We bottled it big time yesterday time to accept it.

I'd say the chance on us beating an Everton team than might still need a point to secure safety AND relegated Norwich to beat Spurs is probably 1.5% maybe? Just cannot see it tbh

If I was a betting man I would have £20 on that so that the £340 win would ever so slightly take the sting out of us blowing it so spectacularly.

I have had a fiver, should at least help with this months electric bill.

The grapes are very sour with this one

Of course they are. When we may end up on equal points but lose in a season where VAR gave you so much and us so little who wouldn’t be ? Neither team really deserved 4th truth be told but you’re likely getting it anyway. A great deal due to you being treated well by referees and VAR vs vice versa for us. Disagree ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you get 71 points then you will have deserved it. What a nonsense thing to say no team deserves it.

I think Spurs blowing this golden opportunity and then having to spend my winnings on an electricity bill would make me want to cry.

Wouldn’t say bottled. Just dominated by a fresher hungry team that had been hyped up to win . By all accounts it was their best performance of the season . We simply did big have the energy to match them. Spurs struggled too against Burnley but benefited from an “interesting” call to win
Tiredness is a thing ( unless you are Liverpool with elite mentality )

Spurs won't blow it. But just a little insurance to soften any unlikely outcome.

And to say Spurs have had countless var decisions go their way over the season is just blind silly. Ask any Spurs fan and they can list dozens of "toe nail" goals not given, instances like the Newcastle penalty last year, oh and not to mention the so called hand ball in a small game called the CL final.
The penalty in the NLD went our way. The hand ball vs Burnley went our way. Both decisions are just as likely to go someone else's way next time around. Get over it.

Hyped up to win by who exactly ? from the Spurs fans yes, but why wouldn't they, but the media ? nah, all week we kept hearing from them was "two wins and they get CL"
As for tiredness, utter rubbish coming from a team that did not have to play in Europe and went out early in both cups. What are you going to do when you have to play in Europe next year. And I suppose having just 62 hours rest between the Arsenal and Burnley game had nothing to do with our performance on Sunday ? I suppose tiredness only applies to your "young" team. Here's a though, buy some older players.
It was not our best performance against Arsenal. City away and even the draw at Anfield just the week before where both better, and that's just off the top of my head.
Sorry pal, but you just sound bitter. You lost to a better team on the night. Get over it.
